@SchadenfreudePersonified my local fish and chip shop (it’s fairly posh mind!) does battered hake. It’s delicious! It also does rock eel, which I haven’t tried yet!

I don’t think I can go on masterchef as I don’t have a deep fryer. And many of my meals take a lot longer than 90mins to cook!

It’s more 1970s posh. Prawn cocktails, melon and avocado vinegarette are all on the menu. It’s really good though! There are no onion rings though so no to the macro alliums!

My sweet potato shepherds pie was certainly not of masterchef standard but is proper comfort food. More of the same tomorrow night.

We have a 10 hour car journey on Friday so hopefully we're able to leave on time, and the hotel we end up in has a working TV, or I'll be missing the final! Shock

The Gurning one was on BBC2 this morning in a programme about his childhood in Peckham. Him and his mum visiting where they used to live etc. He was a cute little boy by the looks of the old photos. Where did it all go wrong?!!
