And Terese must have loads of space too! Jesus the street is empty atm...

Lovewineandchocs · 10/05/2018 11:28

Yes, not a very efficient use of space-who needs Robinson Heights and the Eclipse apartments, just do a Ramsay St reshuffle! Susan and Karl have a spare room too. Piper and Mishti are now inexplicably besties despite Mishti issuing Piper with 4 points and an almost $500 fine. You TOUCHED the PHONE, Piper! I mean FFS she hadn’t even started the engine! Mishti is such a dick! Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 10/05/2018 11:36

Elly really needs to move out. There are obviously apartments for rent at the hotel, maybe her and Steph could do halvsies.

A few questions:

  1. Did we ever find out why Shane and Toadie hadn't spoken in ages and Toadie hadn't met Dipi or his nieces? Lucky him

  2. Why does everyone have to pretend that they're OK with their friends dating their exes and that being upset about it is completely unreasonable? I'm thinking of Paige/Mark/Jack/Steph/Elly here. And it was weird how David talked about Rafael in such affectionate terms once he'd got back together with Aaron like it was a normal thing to do. Is jealousy not supposed to exist in Erinsborough or something?

Also I like Sonia's new hair (not a question) but I hate the way she says "M'kay?" in that really patronising way because I end up doing it if I've watched too many episodes.

SleepingStandingUp · 11/05/2018 14:04

How come everyone can just walk into Paul's place and how does it not get robbed?

OP posts:
MiddleClassProblem · 11/05/2018 14:27

I know! Mishti never needed that key card.

SleepingStandingUp · 11/05/2018 14:41

You could just go in in the middle of the night, climb into his bed...

OP posts:
MiddleClassProblem · 11/05/2018 15:02

You’d probably find Mornings in there too.

MiddleClassProblem · 11/05/2018 15:04

I’d probably carve a cock on Jimmy’s head, hide some chess pieces around the place and then raid the drinks cabinet.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 11/05/2018 16:23

Karl is such an idiot - he is a doctor, fgs, and yet he's gone off into the bush on his own, without even telling anyone where he is going.

tobee · 11/05/2018 17:17

Agreed. Karl what a bozo!

Plus, I kept thinking Elly brought all her fab bedding kit and pillow with case but she didn't take her cleansers to take off her make up!

All those guys in their fluorescent tops going into tents and not out into the bush. Wasn't that the same location where Steph overheard Jack and Paige talking about their night together? And Mark proposed to Paige?

Good to see the kangaroo! Don't remember seeing one in the wild on Neighbours before!

SleepingStandingUp · 11/05/2018 19:06

I think Kanga got the job so we can see they're really WILD!

Aww Jimmy did good, he dumped stupid girl

If it was where the Paige camping trip happened Susan should have just called an Uber in the first place that apparently goes out into the sticks.

TheWashingFairyatemyhamster · 12/05/2018 00:08

I’m confused as to how difficult it seems to be for them to find two people walking slowly in broad daylight near a campsite. It’s Susan and Kirsha not Usain Bolt and Mo Farah sprinting like gazelles in opposite directions for several miles. Surely if they fanned out in a circle and walked at a reasonable pace they’d find them in about 20 minutes. Flamin’ galahs. This sort of nonsense wouldn’t be tolerated if Alf Stewart was in charge of the Erinsborough chapter of the SES.

SleepingStandingUp · 12/05/2018 00:25

Haha I was just thinking Alf would have found them!!

tobee · 12/05/2018 02:25

@TheWashingFairyatemyhamster now you've reminded me of Dahl the galah. They had loads of animals they Kennedy's. Now they've got none. Maybe the animal husbandry got in the way of blue box time. Although Karl's put the kibosh on that for the time being anyway.

AGnu · 12/05/2018 02:27

I was a little surprised at Susan panicking & insisting that they needed to "get out of there" when she didn't have a clue where they were or which way to go. They can't have been that far away & there's no way the headteacher wouldn't be missed pretty quickly. The logical thing to do would've been to get themselves somewhere with a good view & wait for assistance, maybe occasionally calling out. Ploughing on in a random direction is possibly the most irresponsible thing they could do. If they've not had adequate "what to do if you're lost" briefings then they shouldn't be going into the bush at all, let alone taking children out. Oh, & don't even get me started on the fact that Susan seemed to be the responsible adult but left the group for Xanthe & Yashvi to lead while she took one child back because she was feeling a bit sad. So many safeguarding issues right there! You only separate a group like that for a medical emergency, & even then the procedure should surely be that the emergency is dealt with asap, with the rest of the group heading back too.

And breathe... I've had a stressful day - I swear I only watch soaps to give me something other than real life to rant about! Grin

tobee · 12/05/2018 02:34

Great late night posting @AGnu. Susan was entirely rubbish. Surely she should have known about the phone messing up the compass? Rooky error surely? Why didn't they just follow the path they just came up instead of ducking into all that twiggy undergrowth. The bush never looks that threatening on Neighbours just like my local bit of common. Apart from the big marsupial of course. Susan should have spent more time on her orienteering and less on making that great big Erinsborough High School Leadership Challenge banner.

drearydeardre · 12/05/2018 06:45

even without a compass - surely the sun would have given them an idea of direction. It was sunny Confused
Why did they not reverse their track to where they separated from the group !

SleepingStandingUp · 12/05/2018 09:35

Yeah all those parent helpers and instead its one teacher with MS and no hiking experience and two teenagers!

It always amazed me how people follow a path but son as they're lost they start going off road.

I'd have stood still. That way you're not evading search and rescue

Elly in the tent with Amy and Jimmy, next to Jimmy! So inappropriate!

DH said “awkward boner”

SleepingStandingUp · 12/05/2018 10:43

Yeah surely he'd have bunked with his Dad?

woodhill · 12/05/2018 13:04

Yes the safeguarding issues and risk assessments so rubbish in Neighbours but good drama

TheWashingFairyatemyhamster · 12/05/2018 15:06

Dahl the galah - those were the days. Did they also have a sheep and a pig at some point?

It made me laugh to see Elly in jeans. Never thought she had any and assumed she’d be prancing about the bush in her pleather skirt or one of her many inappropriate playsuits.

Did any of you ever discuss your love life with your teachers at age 12? I’d rather have watched Sheila snog Hamish in the spunky spa for 3 hours than talk to my mum’s mate about that sort of stuff.

MiddleClassProblem · 12/05/2018 15:37

Casserole the sheep
