Yes I’m actually finding it quite sickening tbh. She’s practically jumping round Eva like an excited child who has been promised a toy. “Can I have it yet? Can I? Is it time?” If she could she would hug her hard enough to squeeze the baby out.

There was no way David was going to ring the police, this is soapland! You don't just ring the police at the earliest possible opportunity. You must wait for the villain to ensure they have the strongest defence possible, and you have somehow implicated yourself in a crime also.

I'm comparing Toyah as Landlady of the Rovers to the likes of Annie Walker, Bet Lynch, Liz McDonald....all strong women with interesting characters, great to watch. They could have hardly got worse with Toyah. She's so uninteresting and lacking in personality, and the baby storyline is beyond stupid. It's a bloody insult to all Corrie fans. They're going to lose viewers in droves if they carry on.

Yes Toyah is awful around Eva, sickeningly over excited. I think that Eva would have shown some emotion or regret by now, even if only for fucking up a promising relationship after all she's bern through. Surely the baby would move/kick at this point?

I quite liked Toyah at first, but they've made her quite pathetic.

I agree, Shona does over act a bit but she looks very striking and has vibrancy, verve and life about her - something lacking in lots of the other younger actors (Sophie, Maria etc)

David and her are going to be in for a rough ride.

IT feels as though Shona has been launched from "will they won't they get together/will her past rock it" to her looking after the kids and being the live in partner too quickly.

Does anyone else find it absolutely ridiculous how quickly Shona has taken up her mothering role with David's kids? they've been together all of 5 minutes, she's taking care of them all the time (when Lily was sick) and is chastising David when he tells them off. Its like she's their mother. I find it bizarre. If I was David I'd tell her to fuck off

The Eva baby storyline is confusing me too. It just doesn't fit right with the character. Eva is quite maternal and nurturing (she's extremely good with Simon and Summer) and tends to want to take care of people. I know an unplanned pregnancy can be absolutely terrifying but considering nothing dreadful has happened, it seems odd how detached she's behaving over her baby. Like I said - it doesn't fit with her character.
I'm also confused as to why she's still there - I thought she'd be gone to 'America' by now.
The entire thing just cant work. Logistics and legalities aside, how on earth would she stay in a house watching another woman pretend her baby is hers? even if she moves house, it's all too close to home with the family ties.

Thought it was punch in the face obvious that it was Hope doing the naughty things - not Ruby.

On that (the obvious), what happened with Carla signing over all shares to Aiden? has that storyline just stopped now or did I miss something? I thought that when she told Johnny this was her intention that THAT was why Aidan was doing all his very serious, anxious, guilty faces/ robbing letters - because he's conducted some form of fraud on her and he already has her shares unbeknownst to her?

My heart absolutely broke watching those scenes with David. I love his character and he's a great actor. Just heart breaking.

When David started putting the clothes in the bag I was like 'yes! He's collecting the evidence! Shame he's had a shower but at least it's something'. And then he put them in the bin 👎

HarryPotter I thought that about Shona too - David moved her in after a few weeks and now she is babysitter in chief. David never takes Shona out or treats her but had plenty of dosh to go and about with Josh while she stayed home with David's (and Sarah's) kids.

How are they going to do the logistics of handing this baby over. Wouldn't Peter want to be there. Toyah can't exactly say 'oh you stay put love, i need to go out for some bread and milk anyway so i might as well nip and get this new baby as well.'

For all Toyah appears to know everything about pregnancy they don't seem to have any plans in place for what to do if Eva has any pregnancy complications and needs to be hospitalised. Or if the baby is premature. After Michelle and Steve losing Ruari pretty much this time last year, would this not seem a real risk?

On a related note, did I miss whether Michelle or Steve had any difficulty around the first anniversary of this devastating event?
