Like the title? I think she was either, with that laugh!

OP posts:
IHaveBrilloHair · 17/02/2018 17:04

I wish they'd kept them together, that would have been interesting yet I'm guessing her and Chesney will get together, yawnfest.
I want Daniel and Carla together too!

CatherineCawood · 17/02/2018 18:02

I'm confused! Again! Did anyone recognise Summer's potential abductor? I thought that he looked familiar and wondered if we were supposed to know who he was?

PhelanThePain · 17/02/2018 18:10

I wondered if he was something to do with Neil’s paedophile/sex abuse ring.

MagicNumbers1234 · 17/02/2018 18:25

I can't believe they're actually going to try to pass Eva's baby off as Toyah & Peter's. I was joking when I suggested it on the last thread. It's never going to work once Peter finds out. It's so far fetched.....only in Corrie would you find it.
Daniel & The Vicar were dating in real life but it didn't last long. Daniel gave a very excited and cringeworthy dedication to him in a speech at the soap awards (I think it was) last year when he won some award.

CatherineCawood · 17/02/2018 18:28

Ohhh Phelan I wonder if you are right! Eeeek.

Clawdy · 17/02/2018 18:56

Seems a bit unlikely they would re-hash that storyline again. But you never know I suppose.

HettySunshine · 17/02/2018 20:23

What kind of painkiller was Billy supposed to be taking that he is suddenly so horrendously addicted? He was taking paracetamol a couple of weeks ago.

Surely he can't be so dependent after less than two weeks of whatever it is?

PhelanThePain · 17/02/2018 20:33

I don’t think they would rehash it either but it was the first thought that came to mind when I saw creepy man trying to pick up teenage girl.

Btw is Neil still in prison? There was some footage of him talking to someone on a mobile from prison. Was that before or after his trial?

EachandEveryone · 17/02/2018 21:52

Evas laugh is actually real. Shes on Through thr Keyhole.

millimat · 17/02/2018 22:26

I've not noticed Eva's laugh on through the keyhole.

Kikashi · 17/02/2018 22:40

Were we ever told what sentences Nathan and Co got? The Izzy painkiller storyline had more legs but the writers cocked it up as she was on strong opiates for a long term condition. Billy's "accident" is too recent. Are Eileen and Eva making Billy go cold turkey?

PhelanThePain · 17/02/2018 22:44

Oh I’ve been saying Neil andi meant Nathan! Sorry. Was Neil his police officer friend?

Spam88 · 18/02/2018 02:18

I thought we were still building up to Billy developing ah addiction, so slightly confused by the fact he's now a shivery mess. Adam had only given him the tablets that day Confused

Kikashi · 18/02/2018 09:04

Yes - Neil was Nathan's police officer mate. Eva and Eileen maintained that Adam had got Billy hooked! - quick addiction. Take some of the herbal stuff - no - get a doctor's opinion.

thenightsky · 18/02/2018 10:49

spam Adam has been supplying Billy with tablets ever since he was discharged from hospital. I cannot recall how long ago that was tbh. I assume they were opiates as I think the Dr gave Billy a lecture about how addictive they were and he shouldn't take them long term and his prescription was stopped.

Many, many years ago, I did a placement on an inpatient drug addiction unit (back in the day when stuff like this was available on NHS). I don't recall any extreme reactions like Billy's, just a much milder version really. That lad is seriously over-acting.

Spam88 · 18/02/2018 10:53

I thought Adam had stopped giving them to him a little while ago though.

thenightsky · 18/02/2018 10:59

No... he was still giving them out. That's how Eva caught him selling in the pub.

ginghamstarfish · 18/02/2018 13:47

I don't get the Billy story. I thought Adam was swapping Billy's real painkillers for aspirin or something that wouldn't actually help the pain... he seemed to be in constant pain while taking them. Thought he wanted Billy in pain to punish him.

Kikashi · 18/02/2018 13:50

gingham I thought that too. He was trying to buy bulk paracetamol in Dev's at one point. Thought he was grinding it up and putting it in capsules to fool Billy that he was taking stronger opiates and not managing

eddiemairswife · 18/02/2018 14:04

I think he's trying to punish Billy for being in the car that killed his (Adam's) mother, by firstly, changing the painkillers for a much weaker version, and then giving him some much stronger pills which are addictive. That's my understanding anyway.

beargrass · 18/02/2018 14:23

I also thought Adam was trying to make him think he was taking stronger painkillers than he was. Seems both bizarre and convoluted

BreconBeBuggered · 18/02/2018 15:58

Yes, the painkiller thing is very odd. As was the doctor's 'tough shit, boy' response when Billy went to see her. Wouldn't she have suggested alternative types of pain relief, given his apparently OTT reaction to the ones he'd been prescribed?

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 18/02/2018 16:27

Yes to all pp’s Adam was swapping the real painkillers for paracetamol and that’s why the Vicar has been in so much pain so how can he suddenly be addicted to pain killers he has never had? Totally ridiculous storyline I do think Corrie script writers treat viewers like they are thick. Another example this week Robert proposed to Michelle in the street, in front of the whole of Weatherfield and then chided Carla for letting the cat out of the bag to Johnny via group chat! Ridiculous!

NailedOn50 · 18/02/2018 16:36

Eva isn’t pregnant in real life; she’s leaving to set up a fitness business with her personal trainer husband.
