Anyone watch this? Just found it on iplayer. Love Eve Myles, her husband goes missing in it.

OP posts:

I'm getting more confused and annoyed as this nears the end. Have I missed some vital parts? Why does Evan's dad think Evan is dead? Why would nobody, not even the children's grandparents go and support Faith at the custody hearing? Why does the evil police sergeant have it in for Faith? Why does Faith not put on weight with all that beer she drinks? Ok the last one isn't serious...

I absolutely love this series. It’s a brilliant thriller with so many twists of fate and character reversals of good to bad and vice versa. The setting is stunning - though I was worried about the car on the sands and her clothes are cool ( rather shallowly). She wears a lot of Jigsaw silk tops and a yellow Joules parka and I would love to know where her bright blue suede shoes are from.

AnyFucker · 29/03/2018 12:55

I can see 7 episodes on I player. When is the 8th on tv ?

teta · 29/03/2018 14:02

Released on a Tuesday evening.

AnyFucker · 29/03/2018 14:14

Next Tues will be the final episode then ?

teta · 29/03/2018 14:29

I think so.

Have been enjoying this, although getting slightly annoyed with the slow pace, and very annoyed with the playing up of Faith's "sexiness" - unnecessary imo.

The girl who plays Alys is an amazing actor - really impressed with her.

My friends ran some of the Llanelli half marathon with Eve Myles - they posted a pic of her on Facebook & I had no clue it was her - suffice to say she looked rather different with no make up and her hair scraped back in a big hairband!

Craith expires on the iplayer in 3 days (Sunday at 10pm)! Looks like I'm going to have to binge watch it between now and then...

Waspsarewankers · 30/03/2018 14:33

Is craith all in Welsh? I don't speak Welsh but it looks so good.

Gwenhwyfar · 30/03/2018 14:37

"Why does Evan's dad think Evan is dead?

I think the thinks he's killed himself because of the firm's money problems. Not an unreasonable assumption.

Why would nobody, not even the children's grandparents go and support Faith at the custody hearing?

Didn't the grandparents suspect her at one point either of having killed Evan or having driven him away? She always had a difficult relationship with mil and sil I think, though better with fil.

Why does the evil police sergeant have it in for Faith?

Something in their work history from when Faith was a lawyer on a case involving the police woman.

Why does Faith not put on weight with all that beer she drinks? Ok the last one isn't serious...

Gwenhwyfar · 30/03/2018 14:38

Wasp - Craith is in Welsh with subtitles. An English version called Hidden, is due to be released.

Waspsarewankers · 30/03/2018 18:08

Thank you Gwenhwyfar.

To the poster asking: Why would nobody, not even the children's grandparents go and support Faith at the custody hearing?

I think there is suspicion she has killed him but the family are also not happy about her "relationship" with Baldini.

I am loving this series more and more. It's one of those you want yo see the end but not for it to finish.

BringMeTea · 30/03/2018 20:52

I’ve loved this. Eve Myles is very good. So with her and her BIL that’s 2 Broadchurchers. I think it is not credible, at all, that neither the PIL nor SIL would have taken the children. Equally, realistically they would rather the dc were with their mum than in care given that it would be infinitely better for the dc, especially as their dad has disappeared. Apart from that I am enjoying it lots.

Gwenhwyfar · 30/03/2018 21:36

Bring - I didn't understand why the children had to be taken away at all. Yes, their mother kept company with a criminal, but criminals have children don't they? Surely, they're only taken away if the criminals are accused of very serious violent crimes or crimes against children?

Fflursan · 30/03/2018 21:58

Just some useless information for you here. The baddie from Broadchurch who is the policeman in Keeping Faith is inface married to Evan’s sister in real life. So you have 2 real life couples in it

Told ya it was useless😂

chachaboom · 30/03/2018 23:00

Yes! Loving this but it is a bit slow in parts. I have NO idea where the story is going but concerned I've seen one of the actors doing something in another programme I caught the end of on S4C and I don't know if it was the Welsh Version or another drama.Confused

I'm particularly enjoying guessing where all the scenes are shot - all over S Wales including near me, quite amusing, and it's still novel for me to hear Welsh accents on TV ('mammy' 'yurring' etc). Also confused about the 2 bed 3 kids house situation Grin.

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 31/03/2018 07:06

I have a feeling that Evan isn't dead? But I bet I am wrong as always lol. Also, if the firm is in debt why did Evan give Faith the account number to the bank where he holds his laundered money? Surely that should've balanced the books at their solicitors firm?

spacecadet48 · 02/04/2018 19:58

Looking forward to the last episode. I have watched all seven in the last 48hrs! Still frustrated at her children being taken off her because they are at 'imminent risk'.

LizzieDarcy1907 · 02/04/2018 20:02

I found it by accident on iplayer. Such a great series, can't wait for the next one. I think Evan will turn up.......

SofieMonde · 03/04/2018 17:50

SofieMonde · 03/04/2018 18:26

its on tomorrow all other eps on tues this on wed ah

MaitreKarlsson · 03/04/2018 18:32

Oh no! Another day to wait! I feel sure Evan isn't dead (crossing fingers)

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 03/04/2018 23:03

So annoying!
I thought it was on tonight!

Who was the blonde woman in hat who told Williams "you weren't here" after the car accident?

hopeful2016985 · 04/04/2018 06:27

I think she is the corrupt detective who was extorting money out of Alpay. Also, her black BMW was seen outside Faith’s house the night after Evan disappeared. She works for Swansea CID and appeared in her official function at the quarry where they thought they might have found Evan’s body. I haven’t seen episodes 7 or 8 as I’m abroad so I’m going to try resisting looking at this thread after tonight!!

spacecadet48 · 04/04/2018 11:09

I was all built up to watch it last night after binge watching the serious! No idea how it is going to end but I am already getting annoyed about the custody case having seen a clip

rockshandy · 04/04/2018 11:19

Am I being dense in not knowing who Arthur (the drunk guy) is working for?

Is it the blonde woman with the drugs?

I keep thinking it could be Evan but then the number on Arthur's phone looked similar to the one Faith found in the diary under the desk and rang.
