Anyone watch this? Just found it on iplayer. Love Eve Myles, her husband goes missing in it.

OP posts:

At the end of episode 2, who was deleting all the e-mails in the office - was it the other solicitor-partner (or employee)?

And then was someone trying to break in and she scared them off by throwing a chair through the glass door?

Question 3 - what was that in the envelope that was hand delivered to Faith at the end of episode 3 - was it a bullet? If so, why hide it rather than tell the police?

Question 4 - did Faith find Evan's tie at Tom's Carvery, and if so, again why didn't she tell the police? (Though obviously she does not trust the DI, didn't she trust the bil at that point?)

I'm enjoying this. Lovely scenery and houses. I genuinely have no idea what has happened to him.

There was too much of Eve "being sexy" and eating fruit in the first two eps. She's a very good actor though. They all are, in fact.

CheshireDing · 01/03/2018 22:23

I love that song too "I gave my heart".

Too many unanswered questions

Letherby · 06/03/2018 11:56

Both EP versions of in bore mercer and keeping faith are available to download on iTunes :)

ReelingLush18 · 06/03/2018 13:27

There doesn't seem to be much love lost between Faith and her SIL (from the latter's point of view).

There seem to be two identity related strands (I haven't watched episode four yet) so far - the issue of taking on the ID of the drowned boyhood friend and discovering that he may not be his father's son...

scrabbler3 · 06/03/2018 13:28

I'm tempted to download the entire series (Welsh lang version) and watch it tonight, just so I can know the outcome!

Olddear · 06/03/2018 16:43

Loving this! I thought the man at the window was Arthur Davies... Though it wasn't very clear who it was, I didn't think it was Evan

ReelingLush18 · 08/03/2018 08:20

Maybe Evan has been leading parallel lives, one the imagined life that Alex Fenton (have I got the name correct?) would have had, had he not drowned as a boy?

If I could understand Welsh I would be very tempted to download the Welsh language version, scrabbler3.

What day of the week is the 'next' episode available? I thought Saturday but pretty sure the 3rd was available sooner than that?

Spam88 · 08/03/2018 08:57

reeling everything on S4C has subtitles available. I think the next one is on bbc tonight though?

ReelingLush18 · 08/03/2018 10:30

Spam88 thanks for the tip - I think I may do it!

Spam88 · 08/03/2018 20:58

Turns out the 4th one is already available. I obviously was wrong about it being on tonight!

ReelingLush18 · 11/03/2018 09:14

Spam88 watched episode 4. It's getting darker and darker. No wonder Evan has gone awol.

Mamimawr · 11/03/2018 09:20

I enjoyed 'Un Bore Mercher' / keeping Faith but agree with a pp, 'Craith' was brilliant and it's available on iplayer.

scrabbler3 · 11/03/2018 14:02

Just waarched the first ep of Craith. Superb!

Mamimawr · 12/03/2018 17:17

It is really good scrabbler3. Keep watching. There's one episode where they don't leave the farm - I was watching most of that episode behind a cushion!

MaitreKarlsson · 12/03/2018 17:55

Really enjoying this. Is it wrong to quite like Steve Baldini?

stillcold · 12/03/2018 17:57

I'm really enjoying it but I wish they'd speed things along a bit.
Too many contemplation shots.
The scenery is stunning, where was it shot?

MaitreKarlsson · 12/03/2018 18:08

I was wondering that too. Mainly as I'd also like to know If there really is a Travel Inn there with a stunning view of a beach!

ReelingLush18 · 12/03/2018 19:08

Steve Baldini has a certain roguish charm. I reckon he will be the hero of the day.

Not loving Evan's mother or sister.

And some of the scenes in episode 4 were like something out of Deliverance...

BBCK · 12/03/2018 19:16

Is Keeping Faith shot in Laugharne?
Agree with all comments so far. Enjoying the series but that woman can fit a hell of a lot into a day. Rather too much fruit eating, sultry lying down shots and wine drinking. How does who look so gorgeous all the time?
Have checked out Craith as a result of this thread and can definitely recommend it. I could only find the subtitled version online though not via my TV. Am I doing something wrong?

scrabbler3 · 12/03/2018 22:18

Laugharne is the setting I think - I'm pretty sure I saw Dylan Thomas' favourite drinking hole, Browns, in one scene. I visited it a couple of years ago. Lovely place.

ReelingLush18 · 13/03/2018 07:28

Faith is a bit of a supermum, isn't she, even as life is unfurling post Evan's disappearance.

I was totally in admiration of her having been fleeced for her purse and rings and then a second later being on the beach, laughing and smiling with her DC.

Penygirl · 13/03/2018 22:05

I'm watching this but getting more and more confused!

ReelingLush18 · 14/03/2018 07:22

What are the different strands which may have contributed towards his disappearance?

  • money troubles with the law firm
  • paternity issue brought up by Evan's DM
  • Owing £80K to the traveller folk
  • Guilt over what happened to Alex Fenton when they were children
  • Alter ego/ID theft (bogus driving licence)
  • Guilt about getting the traveller woman off on the murder charge even though he knew her to be guilty?

Anything else?

MaitreKarlsson · 14/03/2018 14:59

I can't work out how he got Erin off the murder charge but still owes the family money.
Unless it's the bonus he was given to Steve Baldini which they objected to and want back?
Yes definitely confusing and what about the gun on the boat?
