Jeremiah you might be right in your post at 08.57 Wednesday.

MichaelBendfaster · 23/02/2018 16:53

But the old Irish cop's DNA has been tested and discounted.

Although I'm not sure when it was tested –possibly ages ago, in which case the tech might have improved and they might be able to test it again more accurately.

OR, seeing as he was on the case originally and deliberately suppressed or ignored evidence to wrap it up fast, it's not impossible that he also tampered with the initial DNA tests.

Namethecat · 23/02/2018 16:56

Have you noticed that when they do a lot of ' landscape camera panning ' there is a lack of trees ? I've just googled it and apparently it's true - hardly any trees. As much as it's lovely, I would miss trees. In the last episode it was only when they'd got off the ferry to somewhere else that you caught sight of a tree.

Clawdy · 23/02/2018 17:06

But he had no need to tamper with the DNA for the first murder - it was in the bag , Malone was branded the culprit.

MichaelBendfaster · 23/02/2018 17:11

Yes, good point, Clawdy.

I don't know, then. Maybe Alan IS guilty. We were initially led to think he might be, then asked to feel sorry for him, so maybe it'll twist back again and he'll be revealed as the killer?

Actually, no, I still think it's the twin sister. I don't quite know why. And I don't know who killed the retired cop's daughter.

I find myself slightly fancying Sandy. Confused I'm very taken with his slight frame and narrow hips.

SpringHen · 23/02/2018 17:16

Sandy is a low level dufus though.

He's one of those colleagues who cant be arsed to use their brain. He DOES know what to do if you fire the question back at him, but he would rather have his hand held.

SpringHen · 23/02/2018 17:24

Then again when he DOES use his initiative he only half thinks it through.

When the thugs said they got a carry out he didnt ask where they got the carryout from.

Hes not a full dufus, he's just low level annoying to work with. Which is BRILLIANT to watch because we've all worked with a Sandy!

SpringHen · 23/02/2018 17:27

And he's a fucking idiot for talking about assault victims that way on front of Tosh!!

Pinkponiesrock · 23/02/2018 17:32

Does anyone else think Tosh might be pregnant?
The way she stood in front of the mirror then smoothed her shirt down made me think..................

I have no idea who the murderer or Alan’s father is, totally baffled at the moment.

Had to cover my eyes when Malone went after that guy at the end, pretty sure he’s not done himself any favours there!

SpringHen · 23/02/2018 17:33

I was thinking that the ACTRESS might be pregnant and dressed to hide it for the show IYKWIM

SpringHen · 23/02/2018 17:35

I did notice a bump/loose clothes but dont think its necessarily part of the show

Pinkponiesrock · 23/02/2018 17:48

I was wondering if the bump might have been conceived when she was raped?
I think I’m remembering correctly that’s what happened in the last series, we watched them all out of sync as we’d missed some of the older series.

Not sure if the timeline fits though......

SpringHen · 23/02/2018 17:51

She went directly to the rape crisis centre so got the MAP ASAP.

The rape crisis scenes were so well done. No gratuitous "rape porn" but still hard hitting and graphic in its own way

I hope theyre not ignoring that whole sequence now to write in a rape pregnancy plot.

MichaelBendfaster · 23/02/2018 18:08

Spring, well, I don't want him for his professional initiative Grin

SirSidneyRuffDiamond · 23/02/2018 18:10

Alison O'Donnel, The actress who plays Tosh, was pregnant during the filming of this series.

Pinkponiesrock · 23/02/2018 18:15

Ah that explains it then Sir, I can’t wait until the next episode!

I hardly watch anything on TV but Shetland has me hooked.

SirSidneyRuffDiamond · 23/02/2018 18:15

Fair enough 😁 carry on!

ocelot41 · 24/02/2018 20:40

Ha! SirSidney I thought so!

Kikashi · 25/02/2018 09:46

Who was the young man in the hood arguing with Sally? when that is revealed it will introduce a new strand of people - he could have the same father as Allan Killick? What about Alan Hagen (H&S officer gone awol) could he be linked to it in some way - is he old enough to be the father - Sally found out whilst investigating the oil rig death?

The photo on the phone was faded like it was old - but who was in it- Lizzie and some one else? Perhaps it was from the pub/club they went to the night of the murder and Benny was in the picture and Malone realised that Benny was involved in the murder?

MichaelBendfaster · 25/02/2018 14:36

Who was the young man in the hood arguing with Sally? I thought it was an employee of the oil firm?

eloisesparkle · 27/02/2018 19:36

Is Shetland on in your area tonight ?
I've just checked and the paper says its on but when I to pre record there is fe*king soccer on. BBC Northern Ireland . Arghhhhhhh

Clawdy · 27/02/2018 19:45

It's been moved to tomorrow night because the match Sad

WalnutChiefWhip · 27/02/2018 20:09

slightly off topic but I do love Jimmy's kitchen, all moody turquoise and wood. If he decided to jack in the policing, he could definitely come round and do my interior decor ooer missus

eloisesparkle · 27/02/2018 20:10

Thank you
Is the match important ?
