TV shows you hated as a child

I disliked Blue peter as a child and still do.

daffydill I still remember a nightmare about grotbags from when I was very young. It was a terrible program

The Littlest Hobo - so boring. Even so, I can still remember the theme tune.

I LOVED Jackanory! Can't believe people found it boring!

I hated Why Don't You? Absolutely dire.

Another vote for Rentaghost.

Bloody hated it. It used to give me a headache. Poxy pantomime horse and cross legged Jester.

The Adventure Game on BBC2 with that grumbling plant.

Robot wars - trying to make a battery operated Eubank exciting.

Oh my god just. The boy from space used to scare the crap out of me too.
I also had nightmares about ten little Indians, that awful public info programme they put on in schools about a bunch of kids mucking about in a Farm yard, and one by one they all come a cropper in a hideous variety of farming type accidents

Tomorrow's World. It used to be on just before Top of the Pops and seemed to drag on for hours and hours.

Oh - I LOVED The Adventure Game - I still occasionally have dreams that I'm in the end matrix bit.

Singing Ringing Tree. I was terrified by it

Strange but true scared me silly too.

The Moomins. That was some freaky shit, still can't be doing with it.

I loved the Adventure Game. It is all of the brilliant.

Anyway. I hated We Are The Champions. I hated it because you could see the presenters vest through his shirt.

The Adventure Game was Amazing, I always wanted one of those plastic card things with a shape in it.

Ooh - I've been looking up The Adventure Game and they released a DVD of some of the shows earlier this year!

The clangers they freaked me out and still do.

Another vote for Tales of the Unexpected, just the theme tune uses to scare me.
Also The Day of the Triffids, hated it as it was terrifying

Heartbeat! As soon as I heard the theme tune I had the Sunday night back to school dread!

Emmerdale, or Emmerdale Farm as it was known then. In our family the TV was on almost constantly, from teatime children’s programmes to Neighbours, Home and Away, then the local news but as soon as the music for Emmerdale came on there were shrieks of “turn it off!”. Then it went back on for Eastenders or Corrie and stayed on all evening!

ChuckleVision. Hated it. Also Sundays at grandmas were great until we were all silenced and forced to watch Songs of Praise.
