Come on Corrie writers! Get a grip! This is the thread to moan about the utter tosh that we end up watching, or in some cases to praise the actors because some of them are actually pretty good! Let's discuss!

I think this might be Anna's exit storyline too, but I also think it will be the start of the end for Phelan. That said, they will probably drag it out with him for months.

How does Tracy's small shop manage to employ Kirk and Beth (as well as Mary) - Tracey managed to just double her staff with no problem? Did Tracey buy the shop from Peter but he kept the flat or does Tracey also own it now?

Perhaps I should open a back street flower shop!

Peter and Toyah don't even seem very welcoming to their customers, and spend most of the time bickering.

And if only Sean knows the hotpot recipe what are they doing about that situation?

The cast now is far too big, that is the whole problem. If you watch the old episodes the cast is such smaller, 15 or so actors with good solid characters , that we care about, Alf & his heart, Terry running off with his friend’s wife, and Vera is very upset, Ivy’s concern about Brian and Gail, Bet has done a runner and no one knows where she is, all down to earth stories, no murders, lap dancing or unrealistic storylines.

I still think the whole Toyah and Peter thing is so ridiculous as would you really be with the guy that cheated on your sister with her best mate? As well as all the other dodgy stuff Peter’s done. If they do have a kid it’ll be Simon’s brother and cousin.

Toyah and Peter are so miserable all the time. There is no light in their day. I don't care about them at all. It would be so depressing to drink in there - why hasn't everyone gone to the Flying Horse?

Carla and Peter had great chemistry. Peter and Toyah have all the sizzle of an egg mayo sandwich.

We know Chris Gascoigne can sizzle - the actress who plays Toyah can do lots of things but I don’t remember seeing her do chemistry (on Corrie or that law thing she was on). You never get the sense their pupils are dilating looking at each other, any physically they don’t look like two people we’d put together.

The very fact Peter is working in a pub is ridiculous...

So who is Peter going to be having an affair with? His eye will surely start wandering soon.

When the actress playing Toyah was in Casualty, she had wonderful chemistry with Jay, one of the nurses. Their love story was all ups and downs, over several series, and when they finally got their happy ending, their fans were rejoicing! She is a really good actress, but not right with Peter, I agree.

How long til Peter is getting all hot over Carla again.

I liked Toyah and Spider back in the day!

I liked spider - he was a good character. Emily should have given her house to him - not Norris! so he had somewhere to come back too.

Shona is too good for Peter. Has Maria slept with Peter?

I thought that Toyah and Spider were suited. He could easily be written back in (assuming Eileen Derbyshire returns).

Yes Peter has slept with Maria. Imagine if he cheated on Toyah with her? Would be second time Maria slept with Toyah’s fella. Maybe she’d get pregnant again too?!

Peter has slept with Leanne and Toyah and Carla and Michelle and Maria.

And the one who got killed (played by Michelle Keegan).
