It can't just be me - has anyone else noticed that the general ambiance of the Rovers has changed since Peter and Toyah took over? The lighting has changed and it's dull. The pub looks empty most of the time.

And Toyah's clothes are just dull. There is no colour in the place; no warmth. That's not the characters, it's contrived, surely? Which means they won't be staying...

Yes the Rovers is dull, it’s as depressing as Eastenders in there. They haven’t moved with the demographic (none of the soaps have) because as much as I’d love to, who ever spends that amount of time in the pub/bistro?

Yeah fine there are some die hard s who do go in the pub every night but it was much more believable when they had s gym- what happened to that? No one seems to stay in and watch telly apart from doe eyed Bethany.

Omg yes the gym! Where did that go? Didn't Gary get a job as a personal trainer with no qualifications?

I think Gary also had a 10% share in it (pre-wedding present from Aliyah's family that he wouldn't give back). I think when the grandad ran off owing Dev money he decided to shut it down rendering Gary unemployed.

In the real world somebody would have bought that gym.

But if somebody had bought it then where would Rob have hidden?

Why have they not gone into the surrogacy storyline at all? Well I know why, it obviously was never going to happen but they could have least led us to believe it was going ahead as planned. We’ve never met the surrogate, and today, a vital part of the story happened and we got to hear about it from toyah sitting on the stairs. Why didn’t they have us seeing the surrogate call her, her going to the scan etc?

FGS and the Phelan storyline is going to drag on some more. I think i might have to give up watching.

Also surely Gary would have spoken to the manager and pointed out that Bethany is underage?

Sorry, excuse my momentary lapse in sanity. I've never watched anything as infuriating as this storyline.

Yes you know it was never going happen. Met someone once and low and behold they agree no drama done. Seems to close to Rory to do stillbirth scences again.

Tina was the surrogate but it was Izzy egg I think. So actual her baby and Tina carried it. She wanted keep it after it was born Sick or
Early. Nearly went court but Last moment Tina let them
Keep Him.
