Come on Corrie writers! Get a grip! This is the thread to moan about the utter tosh that we end up watching, or in some cases to praise the actors because some of them are actually pretty good! Let's discuss!

When the kids of the street have all got family who own a business on the street there's no need for uni.
Just learn on the job.

Thing is being in Manchester they could probably get away with having kids at uni and living at home.
I agree would be good to see them go through things like that.

Didn't todd walk out of his a-levels? Then him and Sarah had a baby then he turned gay.

So if Anna ever gets justice over the Seb incident , will she remain in jail for attwcking Eileen and escaping from prison ?

She should remain in prison but this is soapworld remember.

Agree woodhill and the way he always just happens to be in the right place at the right time to eavesdrop or see something (like Eileen getting in her car)

There's another side door/entrance to the Rovers on the right (as you look at it) of the main door. The ladies loo is built behind that!

Love that Eva is pregnant don't love where they are obviously going to go with this story line !

I was adamant that that door must be new since the set changed but I've just trawled my pics to find the one of me and DD outside the Rovers on the tour and it's there!

Where do you think the Eva story is going? A "who's the daddy" storyline?

Is the Rover's side door where the brewery deliveries would access the cellar? They'd not get down the back ginnel and, even if they could, I think they'd only access the back door into the hall, stairs and back room.

Eva hasn't slept withAiden for months, surely. It has to be Adam's.

I wish they'd get rid of the Nazirs and that dopey couple with the baby, and bring back Stephanie Cole, Thelma Barlow, Charles Lawton, Kevin Kennedy, Julie Goodyear, Nigel Pivaro. Will never happen though. Would probably be a bit weird too, in fairness !

I think the whole coronation street concept just doesn't work anymore, probably because of how much we've all moved on since it was created with the likes of the internet making the world much smaller.

Yes I know it's not real life but it used to represent something that's now gone.

I grew up in a cul de sac with a sort of random street coming off the side in one bit so not totally unlike the amount of houses in Corrie.

The thought of us all only living, socialising, working, marrying and breeding with only our neighbours is laughable.

Why did no from the street behind coronation street come to Luke's memorial? Or family/old friends or even garage clients? Would Freddie not have been contacted about the death as they worked together recently and were friends.

At least in emmerdale they have a whole village with the big house and farm on the outskirts to work with.

Anyway I know I sound like a total saddo writing this as it's not real but I just can't see how Corrie can ever go back to anything like what it used to be.

Isnt a spoiler is only when you post upcoming story lines that have been leaked online or to the media ie cast member leaving.

I think they are too Street centric in where they go, who they date etc. Outside scenes are quite rare - maybe a wedding venue or very occasionally a pub in town but that is it.

I was surprised watching the old Corrie's at how often they had short outside (the street) sequences - meetings/walks at a Victorian garden square, a children's playpark, Mike and Susan going for lunch in other pubs and a hotel, Derek and Mavis eating out, Ken and Deirdre having a meal at a taverna, Gail and Brian living in a council house with gardens (and not on the street!) Terry and Curly plying their wares at a block of flats and some edwardian semis to cite a few examples. The young ones also had friends pop up from outside the street at parties etc. It felt there was a world outside the Street - it feels a bit too insular these days.
