I dislike how they are making the son creepy in one episode and then sweet in the next and yeh foster Dad who was previously a bit “nice but dim” is now sleazy and getting the side eye from the foster Mum. It’s too deliberate on the part of the show to direct our opinions.

It's not even a step dad, it's a 'loving' adoptive father with a squeaky clean past. Child falls accidentally on a rock so instead of ringing an ambulance or shouting for help, you hide the body. Rubbish ending.
