Anyone watched it? Well acted and gripping, James Norton good as usual. Also nice change to see so many new faces. But I'm not sure about watching seven more episodes........

Yes, co-worker told him she'd found out from her contact who it was who had been spreading the rumours, and Alex then headed to confront Boris in person (so we assume it was Boris, and I think Boris admitted it). So yes, pure coincidence that Alex was there when Boris was attacked.

Was the Russian beauty therapist's name Ludmila? did Tanya ask her her name and age - I think that's when she said (or alternatively I am completely imagining it, although she definitely asked her age!).

I must have imagined that phone call then! Maybe it was a different scene, but I swear I saw Alex change his SIM, pick up a message that said "you need to be here in an hour", set off, and met Boris and the Caviar Men at his place.

Boris introduced e everyone, and Caviar Men set on Boris and each other (?), Alex conked one with a weight, and escaped to the cellar, where he ring his mum to warn her.

Did I imagine it?

Haha no you didn't imagine it, the changing sim scene was to get a message from Kleiman to meet him - that was when Alex got in the strange car outside the tube station and allowed himself to be driven off to a country house. (Very foolish to get in the car obviously, but on that occasion it worked out ok. In the short term. In the long term the consequences have not been so good.)

Lots of meetings in country houses (Versailles doesn't quite fall into that category I suppose!) - all very easy to get confused.

I AM getting confused with the houses. Lots of mini stately homes..and also Kensington Palace in the background at one point.

I'm doing lots of pointing at the telly and going "oooh look!". Negev Desert! Tel Aviv! Dubai! Versailles! Like a pretty geography lesson, this programme.

The recap in The Guardian is very helpful, but it mentions Kleiman and then also a Kaiman. Is it the same person? Does anyone know?

JN's awful expressionless wooden acting, I can only assume is to show that he's unreadable and emotionless from his boarding school upbringing?

I think JN is expressionless because he has to be. Inscrutable may be a better word.

I don't think it's bad acting-he was pretty animated as Tommy Lee Royce. .

I think he's a good actor. He's loveable as Sidney in Grantchester, utterly vicious as Tommy Royce and now calm and shut down as Alex, he's pretty versatile.

I really wanted to like this but far too complicated for me. Maybe I was too tired after NY but I can't be bothered with trying to tie it all together. Won't be watching it again.

James Norton is lush.

I adore James Norton and have always rated him as an exceptional actor. But this is a let down.
The girlfriend seemed to let out good natured guffaws at every line of dialouge they swapped.
The sexy seductress in the nightclub who stuffed her tongoue down his face in 2 seconds, was predictable.
I can see where its all kinda going but my heart isn't in it and I am sad to say I switched off after 20 mins too. Sad to say Mr. Norton isn't bringing his A game to this and as others have said, is slightly expressionless except for a strange smirk that passes for public schoolboy charm...or something.

I just want a good drama,not something that brings me to mn trying to figure out what the hell I just watched...I mean its a tv drama, not The Godfather

I decided to give it a go tonight and if I struggled, then I was going to give up. I couldn't manage to keep up with the two episodes last week so this was its last chance. I am getting annoyed with all the subtitles too when the conversation is in Russian.

So is it or is it not the real Antonio? I'm assuming not.

Tv is becoming somewhat violent at the moment, what with this and Hard Sun!

Even James Norton can't save this. His character is hopeless and most of the others are horrible.

I gave up halfway through.

Very violent tonight, some horrible images. It's putting me off watching, not sure if I'll carry on.
