Anyone watched it? Well acted and gripping, James Norton good as usual. Also nice change to see so many new faces. But I'm not sure about watching seven more episodes........

Late to the discussion as only just seen last episode.

So Alex goes over to the dark side. I think he was slowly going there throughout the series. Interesting how all of his direct exchanges with Vadim were very refined and Vadim always gave him good advice about his personal life. There was ironically a mutual respect between them.

So ... Yeah ...

What on earth to say?

AuntFidgetWonkhamStrongNajork · 06/03/2018 13:06

What on earth to say?

Don't drink the tea, for a start.

Gruach · 06/03/2018 14:01

Indeed. I guess the creators of the series aren’t even surprised ...

It was already on my list, but will definitely be watching Icarus soon. It won the Best Documentary Oscar on Sunday and it's about the Russian doping scandal in sport.

Mc Mafia?
Lentilbaby · 07/03/2018 12:05

The poisoning of the Russian spy and his daughter is all a bit McMafia 😳

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 07/03/2018 15:10

Isn't it just. 'Relatives' in the press being quoted as having suspicions about the deaths of his wife, his son and his brother and also that he himself was philosophical about the fact that 'if they want to find you, they'll find you'

I think there'll be another series.

MissEliza · 08/03/2018 16:05

Don't drink the tea. When I saw the news about that Russian spy, I immediately thought of that Grin.

eloisesparkle · 11/03/2018 07:55

Lentil I agree with you.
Truth can be stranger than fiction. Or at least as awful. Sad

BitOutOfPractice · 11/03/2018 08:05

I've just thought, I have no idea why it's called McMafia. Why the Mc?

Gwynfluff · 11/03/2018 08:12

Think it was something to do with having a chain of mafia gangs in different cities across the world (global franchise like McDonald’s)

blueskypink · 11/03/2018 08:12

I think because like McDonald's, organised international crime is everywhere and has the same rules/standards whichever country you're in.

BitOutOfPractice · 11/03/2018 22:45

Ah! I see! McDonald's!! I was trying to think of a Scottish connection. It's been a stressful weekend, that's my excuse.
