He is running the Edinburgh Marathon in two weeks time, and is involved in 🥃 production!

He has a new film out, as well, The SPy Who Dumped Me, although he isn't a lead character in that.

He just ran the Stirling marathon, too. He is raising funds for Cahonas Scotland and raising awareness of testicular cancer.

I could barely recognise Billy Boyd though. He looked too serious.

Can someone answer a question for me? I’ve just watched the penultimate episode of season 3 (can’t believe there’s only one more!!) and don’t understand where the box of jewels came from originally.

I know the dying Scot chap told Jamie (when he was a prisoner under LJG) in Gaelic where the box was but I thought the treasure had come from France to pay for the rebellion. Geillis is talking about it being HER jewels/sapphire etc though, so was it hers originally?

Are they what Gillian used to get through the stones in the first place?

Also....what on earth are we going to watch between now and November! Am reading the books (half way through book 4) so have a few of those to keep me going, but they aren’t as good as the first book!!

In the series, the box of jewels was hidden by Dougal Mackenzie. They were part of his stash - family "treasure" and the like. He was likely saving them to give to the jacobite cause.

In the books, the box was money raised by the Duke of Sandringham (part of the £50,000 he promised Charles Stuart) I can't remember it ever being adequately explained how it got onto the island. Also in the books, the French Gold was three chests of gold bars, brought ashore and delivered to 3 loyal Jacobites, of whom Dougal was one. Each of the three was given charge of one chest. The money arrived too late to do any good, though and the chests met with mysterious fates.

Did anybody see the picture of Sam in a Spa robe, yesterday. I actually couldn't breath! He is clearly bulking up for Bloodshot. THere's a new trailer fpr Spy out, as well. It looks really funny.

Film does look good. Wonder if dp will work out why I will want to go and see it when it's released? Will be good to see him in something else and on a big screen.

But dp should be quite happy as he likes Mila Kunis.

Hello again, have we disbanded during Droughtlander??

I was mooching through Prime last night, and watched a little Scottish filum, Not Another Happy Ending. It has the chap who plays St Germain in it. Ffs he is a beautiful human. I might have watched it twice.

Plus the redheaded girl who we mused should have got Briannas part is in it too. She would have been perfect.

I've watched a lot of crap while waiting. Might have to endure rewatch s2 now though, to look at the Comte with new eyes!

I saw the release date for season 4. Just 13 weeks to go!!

I might have to check out Not Another Happy Ending. I see that Gary Lewis (Outlander's Colum) is also in it.
