Can any of the lassies here help me? I have watched the first two series on Netflix, but they don’t have series three, so I am now having withdrawal symptoms and need a Jamie fix. Do any of you know how I cam watch series three? Thank you

gamerwidow · 11/04/2018 14:15

Amazon prime is the only place to legally watch S3 in uk I think...

CiderwithBuda · 11/04/2018 14:18

It’s just out in dvd I think.

CiderwithBuda · 11/04/2018 14:19

Just been released I mean!

CoolCarrie · 11/04/2018 15:05

Thank you both!

CoolCarrie · 11/04/2018 15:32

Unfortunately Amazon won’t let me watch it as we are in South Africa, and I don’t trust the post office here to order it, so still pining for a Jamie fix! Anyone with any other ideas at all?

CiderwithBuda · 11/04/2018 16:03

According to DG’s website it was released on dvd in SA on Monday?

mateysmum · 11/04/2018 17:36

Waves at Cider. South West Lassies are coming out of the woodwork.

Amazon says S3 was released on DVD on 8th March.Currently £17.

CiderwithBuda · 11/04/2018 17:59

Waves back at mateysmum! How’s you?

mateysmum · 12/04/2018 13:34

I'm good thanks. Fed up of the recent rain.

A good excuse to stay in and binge watch Outlander

MarsaliOL · 12/04/2018 17:50

What about iTunes?

CiderwithBuda · 12/04/2018 22:36

Mateysmum - wish I’d done that today. Went to Sainasburys at H. Left at 3.30. Took an hour and a half to get out of my car park space. Have never seen it so bad.

JenMumsnet · 15/04/2018 15:10

I've just been on a short break in the Highlands. I didn't do anything specifically Outlander (unless you count Culloden).
But it is so atmospheric there it has really added something to it all.

It really feels like one of the last few places in the UK where you are truly in the middle of nowhere.

Fantastic.

Lessstressedhemum · 15/04/2018 18:56

Lucky you, Jen. It's been a long time since I've been up north. It's very wild and beautiful in places, even the air is different, very clear and clean away from the cities. I love it.

JenMumsnet · 18/04/2018 18:01

It really is so different. I've spent a lot of time around Fife, but the highlands are just a whole new world. Incredible.

Lessstressedhemum · 09/05/2018 21:04

Oh! Oh! Oh! Seasons 5 and 6 have been confirmed now. It's all far too exciting for me.

madamefraser · 09/05/2018 21:05

Exciting ! But we have to wait till NOVEMBER for the new season !

Lessstressedhemum · 10/05/2018 10:07

I know, that sucks. I thought it was going to be September.

Appuskidu · 10/05/2018 10:49

Does anyone else feel a bit sad at Jamie’s ghost looking sadly at her in episode 1? If they are both (past her and him) long dead by then, shouldn’t they be ghosting together somewhere? Happy?!

mateysmum · 12/05/2018 14:15

Appuskidu The whole Jamie's ghost thing seems to be one of DG's speciality loose ends which may or may not be resolved at the last hurrah. Apparently DG doesn't really plan or write her books in a linear way from start to finish (who'd have guessed!) she writes bits and then sticks them together, letting the characters lead the plot. Hence we end up with some inconsistencies and even continuity errors and very, very, long books.
In contrast I believe J K Rowling knew how the Harry Potter books would end as she was writing the first one.

Appuskidu · 13/05/2018 11:17

Aha-fair enough. I just felt sad at him ghosting all alone!!

sonjadog · 13/05/2018 11:43

I don’t think he is ghosting alone. I think just before Frank saw him they’d had a discussion about it and she said it would be too weird to haunt herself, so she was hanging about just around the corner he walks towards after going over for a look.

Appuskidu · 13/05/2018 12:26

Grin-that makes me feel a bit happier, thank you 😂!

sunnyday1976 · 14/05/2018 12:57

Long time lurker here! Just heard Holly W say Sam is going to be on This Morning tomorrow. She sounded v v excited about the prospect, as you would!!!

snozzlemaid · 14/05/2018 16:15

Oh wow. Thanks sunny.
If only I didn't have to go to work tomorrow. He's looking extremely gorgeous at the moment with his shorter hair.
Look forward to catching up with this tomorrow evening.
