blibbibs there's no such thing as too much Outlander, surely.

I've watched them all again, now. I need to start something else, but am feeling a little bereft.

blibblibs · 16/02/2018 16:14

I've only watched Ozark since finishing Outlander. It was OK but couldn't really get into it. Just kept thinking I'd rather be in my bed reading about Jamie since DH, not surprisingly wasn't keen to just go back to the beginning of Outlander!

OneFlewOverTheMumsNest · 17/02/2018 11:01

I've lurked on these threads once discovering outlander when it started on More 4. We've since acquired amazon so I've seen them all. I've just started rewatching season 1, I'm 3 episodes in. It's just blowing me away all over again. It's so beautifully shot, Jamie is just beautiful and it's so apparent from the beginning how in love with Claire he is. Although I have to say, I'm a big fan of Tobias Menzies and I think the show suffers for him leaving. Anyway onto episode 4 while I have some child free time.

OneFlewOverTheMumsNest · 17/02/2018 11:02

Hmm, since discovering, not once. That'll teach me for not previewing in my haste to get back to the beautiful Jamie.

quirkychick · 17/02/2018 12:18

OneFlewOver that's pretty much what I did (I wonder how many new amazon prime members there were following More4 showing?). I've just finished rewatching but am now dreaming episodes (the wedding, anyone? Blush). It is all so beautifully filmed and I agree that Tobias Menzies a fantastic actor.

JenMumsnet · 17/02/2018 15:05

I've nearly finished book 8. I don't know if it's worth reading any of the LJG series of books or just rewatch from Series 1 again.

Marsali · 17/02/2018 16:01

I downloaded one of the LGJ books and wasn't impressed tbh. It was like bad fan fiction.

Caitriona Balfe was on the Late Late in Ireland last night. She's cut her hair and seemed very down to earth.

AKAmyself · 18/02/2018 11:42

Hello lassies! How have you been? Just catching up on all things outlander, I miss it so much. Have tried and failed to fill the gap with tv shows (a friend recommended Vikings, which I hated!) and historical romance novels (someone on here recommended the Lymond Chronicles but I just could not get into it and I think I’ve ready every regency romance ever written by now...) but nothing works.

Ah Jamie Jamie Jamie... you have ruined me for life

madamefraser · 18/02/2018 19:42

Have been re watching season 1 (ahhhh, season 1!) and actually managed to watch the Search and enjoy it ..and saw the little puppet version of claire falling through the stones in the first village Claire & Murtagh visit which I didn't notice before and was quite bizarre ! Fast forwarded through a lot of Wentworth prison, it's so awful to watch ..just too violent for me...they must have been bloody exhausted filming those scenes...and going to watch the finale later ( having a binge day ) ..Jamie Jamie.. just too gorgeous...

breadwidow · 18/02/2018 19:51

Me too, and forcing myself to take breaks between shows. Season 1 is brill. Also got someone else into it, first person I know in real life who is outlander obsessed & guess what she knows someone whose working on the s4 for the next 4 months!

blibblibs · 18/02/2018 21:07

I've rewatched all 3 seasons, watched a YouTube clip, Is it usual?, way way too many times and am 200 pages in to DOA and I only started this obsession in January Blush
I think I'm going to have to find something else to do with myself but by goodness it'll be hard! Damn you Jamie Fraser!!

breadwidow · 18/02/2018 22:51

Is it this one Just watched it, gorgeous

I'm totally obsessed, JAMMF has ruined men for me. Not read the books yet, but mainly cod I'm lazy and like gawping at Sam

Lessstressedhemum · 19/02/2018 11:25

Jamie does indeed ruin you for all other men. The only thing better than curling up in bed reading about him is lying in bed watching Sam be Jamie. Oh, how many hours of my life have been lost to JAMMF.

mateysmum · 19/02/2018 12:23

Not that I'm trying desperately to fill the droughtlander space, but watched this on Youtube and I thought it was hilarious. Jamie and Claire at couples counselling (as if!). Sam can't keep a straight face mind.

Only problem, you will then get a side bar of a million other Outlander clips and before you know it, your children will have starved and your DH will have given up trying to compete with the King of Men and gone to his mother's.

blibblibs · 19/02/2018 13:56

That's the one bread. I've wasted many an hour on YouTube because of this obsession but that's my favourite.

Lessstressedhemum · 19/02/2018 14:46

The couples therapy one is hilarious. I have to actively avoid YouTube because my kids would starve to death, otherwise, and we would be living in an even bigger guddle than we already are.Blush

Has anyone else seen this first screen test SH & CB did together...

CourtneyLoveIsMySpiritAnimal · 19/02/2018 16:42

I've seen it snozzle Sam is really sweaty in that clip and I'm not digging his hair Confused

Apparently, there will be a longer version on the S3 DVD release.

quirkychick · 19/02/2018 16:56

breadwidow I don't know how I missed that one falling down an Outlander YouTube rabbithole.

snozzle that's really sweet.

madamefraser · 19/02/2018 19:01

Matey that comment about your DH made me laugh out loud ! It's the same here..I've been having a sickie from work so allowed myself to go verra much down the OL rabbit hole of binge watching. What a lovely day.

Marsali · 19/02/2018 19:27

My favourite youtube find is the Paley panel. Diana is odd as ever, but the actors are really quite funny and interesting.

MoNigheanDonn · 20/02/2018 05:19
