I begun my rewatch too, earlier than planned (was trying to go outlander free, thought it would somehow make me appreciative it more, til Feb) because me and DH were thinking of cancelling amazon prime as we don't watch many other shows on it, but oh well the payment went out before DH remembered. What a shame. Wink

Anyway, it's just as good as the first time. Season 1 is def the best. Loving Angus, Rupert and Ned Gowan. Though I do wish they had stuck with the seasons in the book, I haven't read it but heard that in the book it's May when the goes through the stones. It makes so much more sense that they'd do the gathering and travel for rent collection when it's warmer and days longer.

Ah Harriet so close! I used to live in Castle Douglas.

Mo - I was at CDH from 1992-1997, I moved away, but some of my family are still in D&G, I do miss living there, but had to move away for work...

MoNigheanDonn · 23/01/2018 18:34

HarrietSpecter · 23/01/2018 20:10

MoNigheanDonn · 23/01/2018 20:21

Less I loved the kilt one

Lessstressedhemum · 23/01/2018 20:27

Just some random ones. I followed a link on HH to an extended wedding scene, which was beautiful, and then lost half an hour down an Outlander shaped hole. I greatly appreciate the kilt one, a nighean, there is nothing like a man in a kilt. (sigh)

YoniHuman · 23/01/2018 21:11

Friend on FB just shared this, she is in the next village.

MoNigheanDonn · 24/01/2018 05:26

Oooh looks like that could be the set for some R&B scenes!

OP posts:
quirkychick · 24/01/2018 06:56

Yoni I saw that on YouTube yesterday on the weird stalkery "Outlander" channel. Ever since I watched one of those videos, any new ones pop up on my tablet. I thought that might be R&B scenes. Also, doesn't B sail from Inverness to America and then R follow?

Lessstressedhemum · 24/01/2018 10:38

Yes, that will be Roger and Bree. She leaves from Inverness. I hope they don't concentrate on them too much. Brianna grinds my gears and Roger is wet.

Lessstressedhemum · 25/01/2018 09:56

Just thought I'd leave this here.

Lessstressedhemum · 25/01/2018 10:04

I thought this wad quite apt as well -

quirkychick · 26/01/2018 13:25

Grin Happy Burns night for yesterday.

I've just watched S1, the second time round I didn't mind the silly wandering and singing of Murtagh and Claire, as I think it adds some much needed humour and lightness before Wentworth Prison and To Ransom a Man's Soul. I will start S2 next week. The acting with SH and TM is just superb, BJR is so charming, intelligent ànd evil, that he makes a serious adversary. Stephen Bonnet has a lot to live up to in S4.

Lessstressedhemum · 26/01/2018 14:45

Bonnet just doesn't seem to have the same menace, does he? TM was fantastic as BJR.

quirkychick · 26/01/2018 16:40

TM is such a good actor, that whole scene in the prison, where BJR is toying with Jamie and enjoying it, so menacing - thank you, the perfect word. Having read the Fatal Shore (non fiction) about transportation to Australia, it would appear that those kind of sadists were regularly employed in the British Empire, so quite believable, sadly.

I'm looking forward to binge watching S3, as I had the previous seasons rather than waiting in agony a week for each episode.

snozzlemaid · 26/01/2018 16:45

There are lots of photos on twitter of filming for the last couple of days.
Lots of RR wearing a not very fetching bobble hat. But it's very 'Roger'.
And now I've just seen a photo of a fan with Murtagh! Looks like we've not seen the last of him for definite then.

CoraPirbright · 26/01/2018 19:19

Murtagh!! OH I am so glad he has survived - LOVE Murtagh!

quirkychick · 27/01/2018 08:34

Hurray! Murtagh is great, Iso good to hear he'll be back. I think S3 is hard without all those Scottish characters, Rupert, Angus, Willie and Dougal. I know it's symbolic of the loss after Culloden, but it's very much part of the backdrop to the show in S1 & 2. I've loved seeing Jenny in S1 again, the only one bossy enough to tell Jamie and Claire what to do Grin.

quirkychick · 27/01/2018 08:34

*so good, obviously.

mateysmum · 27/01/2018 14:56

Somebody suggested earlier that the resurrected Murtagh would take over the role of Duncan Innes. In many ways they are quite similar characters so it would make sense and keep Murtagh in the picture going forward.
Or, I wonder if they will make him a settler on Fraser's Ridge?
Then again, as in S3 he was apparently shipped off to the colonies years ahead of Jamie's arrival will he just turn up?

What are your theories Lassies?
