Surely Phelan will have to get his comeuppance by Christmas?

Mind you, I hope Anna gets sent to prison too.

So George is still in and out of hospital...I’m shocked the miracle working doctors at Weatherfield General, who have cured other residents of everything from cancer to paralysis in a few weeks, haven’t worked out what is wrong with him.

Kevin’s son is being cared for by the 24 hour childminder, obvs.

Luke and Peter are the only really good looking men on the street. Johnny is ok.

lizzieoak · 01/12/2017 01:08

I do swoon over Luke. He’s a good actor as well - I wish they’d find something to do with him. He was on an episode of Scott and Bailey and was very watchable there too.

Adam’s not my type, but objectively speaking he’s quite good-looking as well.

Monty27 · 01/12/2017 03:45

It's simply gone to hell. Awful

JustDanceAddict · 01/12/2017 07:18

To be fair Kev’s Son went with him as there was quite a sweet scene around them going. Other than that, it’s all shite! I don’t watch it as much now - maybe 1 ep a week - 2 at most. I think it went rapidly downhill when Phelan came back. It’s just so unbelievable now, although I did like the Bethany storyline.

Makes me hanker for the positively thespian acting skills of Jim McDonald, so it does.

TheStifmeister · 01/12/2017 09:27

Lineys Grin

Halsall · 01/12/2017 09:40

I'd really had it when they showed that extended trailer 'This autumn on Coronation Street' which was basically just a long sequence of murder, torture, screaming, violence, slapping, wailing and hysterical weeping.

This is Corrie??? Bring back Ena Sharples and her mixed fancies (no eclairs)

LineysRunner · 01/12/2017 09:52

And Derek's winning the canteen of cutlery and giving it to Mother not Mavis. Our household was strangely riveted, because it was life, with pathos and humour.

MyBeloved · 01/12/2017 10:58

The comments made by Faye in the cafè regarding Anna's situation were outrageous and a mistake by the script writers I feel.

Clawdy · 01/12/2017 13:08

Yes, the Faye scene was dreadful. " Not rape, it was prostitution...." then showing her fawning over Phelan later.

Yeeeees

MyBeloved · 01/12/2017 13:46

Exactly clawdy. Was uncomfortable viewing to say the least - and quite damaging in terms of a societial view shown on prime time tv.

ShowerGel9 · 01/12/2017 13:47

.

ShowerGel9 · 01/12/2017 18:07

What was that little house that Eileen found on the site of the burnt down house?

CactusCactusCactus · 01/12/2017 18:25

Something to do with Gandy. Was mentioned upthread

Seniorcitizen1 · 01/12/2017 19:39

Tonight - scene 1 - small child goes off to school with just a jumper on. Scene 2 two adults sat in restaurant/ cafe both wrapped up against the cold weather, xmas decoration in window. Do corrie not employ people who pick up on these inconsistencies?

nibora · 01/12/2017 19:54

I feel a bit sad tonight, I've watched Corrie since the first episode but I think I'm done now. I would like to see the Phelan thingy resolved but I just can't bare to watch this trash any more. Xmas Sad

nibora · 01/12/2017 19:57

I'm so upset I've forgotten how to spell..... bear.

AnnieHoo · 01/12/2017 20:39

WTF has happened to Corrie? I have watched all my life, so sad to see it become so shite.

southeastdweller · 01/12/2017 20:45

Lots of us have quit viewing or are thinking about it, after watching for years. I wish Kate Oates could read this thread.

theliverpoolone · 01/12/2017 20:58

I quit when Andy was murdered, after watching religiously for over 30 years. Keep reading this thread in the hope of seeing something that might make me go back, but I just despair at what I'm reading. No consistency, huge plot holes, characters with complete personality transplants. Seb has HIV?? Anna framed and in prison within about 2 weeks?? Robert out of prison, but now has cancer?? Phelan still at large?? Can't see myself returning Sad

AnnieHoo · 01/12/2017 20:58

It's lost it's way. My mum, gran, aunties don't watch for sensational crap. We watch for the laughs and the heartache, the ordinary, celebrating the ordinary... it's part of who I am! This is nothing to do with who I am... there's nothing of the ordinary about it... maybe I'm too old (mid forties).

eddiemairswife · 01/12/2017 21:42

Please spare us any more Kate/Rana storylines. Why can't we have realistic stories? For instance, weeks ago Izzie told Gary that Jake might need speech therapy, and Gary was talking about going to the Ukraine to help pay for it; since then , nothing. I don't think I imagined it, but some times the lack of follow up makes me wonder if I;m developing some kind of dementia.

thenightsky · 01/12/2017 22:10

For the first Friday night in ages I didn't bother watching.
