Surely Phelan will have to get his comeuppance by Christmas?

Mind you, I hope Anna gets sent to prison too.

Finally caught up... did we find out why Todd left? I missed when gave note to what’s her face. So billy rang him said told him everything while he was stabbed in leg this made Todd disappear then text summer and pick her up without even a change of clothes??

eddiemairswife · 31/12/2017 19:02

I expect Todd and Summer have found a home with Vinny's mother.

thenightsky · 31/12/2017 19:54

I missed the bit why Todd left with Summer. That was odd. Why would he do that when it wasn't him who killed Susan?

Does Billy know that Adam knows he's his mother's killer? I'm guessing not given how smiley he was towards Adam in hospital.

Is it on tonight?

Bumblina · 31/12/2017 20:48

There's 1 Ep on tomorrow (mon)

ComedyBoobs · 31/12/2017 21:43

Hi! Can I join you guys? Smile
Have watched corrie for donkeys years & am a huge fan of Carla. Her eyebrows deserve their own story line.
I've gone from cringing at every scene with Daniel to now thinking he's one of the best characters. Same with Ken & the hospital scenes. My mum used to live down the road from Ken Roache.

ComedyBoobs · 31/12/2017 21:49

William Roache (boggles at own stupidity)

crazycatgal · 31/12/2017 21:49

@thenightsky Todd left quickly with Summer because the writers needed to rewrite the script to get rid of Bruno Langley after he was found guilty of sexual assault.

LineysRumBaba · 01/01/2018 19:59

I strangely enjoyed Tedious Chesney's downfall.

LoveMySituation · 01/01/2018 20:00

I'm loving Daniel at the moment Grin

EB123 · 01/01/2018 20:03

I really like Daniel now.

Can't stand Chesney, he was so cute as a kid in Corrie but now he is just awful. They should have written him out when Katie went off to live abroad, he could have gone with her and Jawseph (who was babysitting him tonight?)

eddiemairswife · 01/01/2018 20:16

Two questions:

  1. Why were Chesney's stags painted green?
  2. Why were Cathy and Gemma there?
cloudyweewee · 01/01/2018 20:29

Speaking of Gemma, what's happened with that posh bloke she was dating?

ellenanora5 · 01/01/2018 20:46

LineysRumBaba, me too can't stand the little creep, he needs to head off to mind Cilla forever.

cloudyweewee · 01/01/2018 20:54

I would like to know who was looking after Hawp, Rubeh, Jawseph and Jake.

scrabbler3 · 01/01/2018 21:52

Jake with Gary probably, and the others wth Sophie, who seems to have replaced Emily as the go-to babysitter. In a year or so it will be Amy no doubt.

All of Bill Roache's children have Eileen Derbyshire as their godmother. As does Barbara Knox's daughter. Random fact there.

Is it legal for a business' cctv to overlook someone's back garden?

Grunkalunka · 02/01/2018 10:45

I wondered that about the cctv too. Did I blink and miss Chesney actually assaulting Beth? It seemed to go to advert break with Chesney going to the Bistro and come back with Beth having her arm in a sling - is that right?

thenightsky · 02/01/2018 11:09

I think Chesney rushed at Beth to try and get the tv remote off her before she could press play. I think she fell over and that's how her arm got broken. Not sure it was actual assault.

thenightsky · 02/01/2018 11:12

I started to have warm feelings towards Daniel a good while ago... glad to see I was right. I love the way he is so clever and cunning. I really hope he takes Chesney down, but in such a way nothing can be proved and he comes out as the hero or something. God knows what he sees in dozy lass though.

deadringer · 02/01/2018 13:54

18.50 for Michelle's shopping? And who buys chocolates right after Christmas anyway, especially when they are broke. Agree Chesney is just awful.

They were painted green as they were dressed as toy soldiers. Gemma and Cathy were there as Chesney's colleagues I'm assuming

Grunkalunka · 02/01/2018 16:25

Thanks thenightsky knew I had missed a bit.
So Steve has a daughter who a while back they couldn't afford music lessons for and lives at her grandad's and a child with Lee-anne who has been scammed of £25k (thought she had given that to Toyah for the surrogate) and is now stopping in the pub sharing a room with her teenage son as she has nowhere else to live and Steve is giving £10k extra to his ex who he has no children with and forced him to sell his pub just to be nice??? yeah right

deadringer · 02/01/2018 16:56

Yes and they are all always moaning about how skint they are but have no problem coming up with costumes and nights out for special occasions. Of course they probably had flapper/soldier costumes in their wardrobes. Don't we all?Hmm

scrabbler3 · 02/01/2018 17:01

Yes, Michelle eschewing supermarkets in favour of the corner shop when she's skint. Very unrealistic.

Quite liked the toy soldiers outfits.

Tracy was a stunning flapper.

Those bigots were weird. Usually, those sorts of racists (educated, smart, good jobs) are from the "I'm not racist, but" camp rather than the 1970s throwback camp. It was too unsubtle for me, I'd have preferred more nuance. Was fuming for Alya and Luke though.

ShowerGel9 · 02/01/2018 17:12

I liked the army outfits butility agreen about people being skint but then can justify doing that and spending all that money on dressing up
