Well, my bloody Freeview recorder on series link has not recorded a few episodes of Corrie and Emmerdale over Christmas so I have not a bloody clue whats been going on! I will just have read these threads, not sure if I have missed anything important

I knew Billy would survive, crap characters always do. Yes to Carla not being pregnant because it's been remarked on. I really hope she hasn't come back just to be seriously ill/dying, there is way too much doom and gloom as it is. I would love it if she has had a baby, Gail can go into over protective grandma bear mode again trying to figure out if it's her precious Nick's child. It would also be a right kick in the teeth to Michelle too if Robert was possibly the father. On second thoughts it's too clever a story line for the current writers to come up with.

The survival of the cliff fall was a) unbelievable and b) hugely disappointing.

We need to redesign the cliff and add spikes and a firey pit at the bottom.

The only thing I find upsetting is that upsetting scenes are being shown at 7:30, when there's small children watching, who are easily upset. The whole point of the watershed is to avoid easily upsettable children being upset! I find it upsetting that they need to have such a warning before a family programme.

Tony Warren must be spinning in his grave. I notice that Angie has magically recovered from her PND and Adam looks pretty lively for someone who's overdosed about twenty-four hours earlier.

Eileen is also looking remarkably well after Anna hitting her on the head.

I downloaded Melvyn Bragg's interview with Tony Warren from Sky Arts. I won't go into detail and spoil it for anyone who wants to watch it, but the things he talked about that made CS popular and respected have now disappeared. I really don't know what he'd make of it now.

I will say that there was a clip of twentysomething Ken and he really looked like Daniel! Very good casting of Daniel, fair play.

Cloudy I remember that too. I just don't remember who they were playing, I mean which of Ken's family, are there more sons etc that we don't see?

Linus Roache is in Vikings playing the king and IMO plays a good role.

I like Daniel Osbourne and think he plays a good part plus he is very similar to a young Ken which makes it believable. Much more than Peter - but again I like the actor who plays him, just doesn't resemble Ken at all.
