Surely Phelan will have to get his comeuppance by Christmas?

Mind you, I hope Anna gets sent to prison too.

I read that Billy is in a car teetering on the edge of a cliff. Presumably the Weatherfield Cliff where the mini-bus accident took place.

myusernameisnotmyusername · 23/12/2017 23:45

I thought that was very irresponsible- sending him drunk driving! So I'm assuming he drove him somewhere he'd be trapped in a car.

MadeleineMaxwellPeterson · 24/12/2017 08:40

@Chipstick10
MadeleineMaxwell What a pious response. Wow that’s me told

I'm sorry - rereading my post it does sound pious. It wasn't meant that way, genuinely, I was just answering the question why he couldn't do more scenes ... badly Blush I'm very sorry I came across patronising.

ohanabanana · 24/12/2017 11:05

Random thought here - now that there are so many more episodes than there used to be and more characters, wouldn’t it be sensible for the street to be extended in some way such as a new row of houses round the corner from the pub or Devs shop? That way so many characters wouldn’t have to squeeze into each house. The houses on Gail’s side to the road were built in the ‘80s if I recall correctly. New houses are being built everywhere in real life so it wouldn’t be unrealistic.

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 24/12/2017 11:09

Yes they could knock down nicks bistro and that whole row could be redeveloped into flats or houses.

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 24/12/2017 11:12

Phelan could get the contract for building them! Grin although they’d probably just use that as an excuse to shoe horn in even more characters! What they really need is a funeral parlour business. Grin

blackbunny · 24/12/2017 12:11

I've given up on how many they can shoehorn into those tiny terraced houses
Who lives in Victoria Court flats?

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 24/12/2017 12:20

I think the only ones living in there now are rob and Michelle and Johnny and his wife. Can’t remember her name.

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 24/12/2017 12:21

Jenny!

EachandEveryone · 24/12/2017 19:53

Are you watching Bethanny on the celeb musical show with Michael Crawford? I think she has a long career ahead of her.

millimat · 24/12/2017 20:02

I thought she sang really well.

EachandEveryone · 24/12/2017 20:04

Yes and seemed very lovely.

southeastdweller · 25/12/2017 22:39

Today was the first Christmas Day episode of Corrie I've missed. Haven't watched for months but curious to know if anything good happened - judging by the lack of posts, I'm assuming it was a load of crap.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/12/2017 23:01

It wasn't the best TBH, Eileen storms into Ken's house and he's being all 'reasonable'.

Gail and her stupid headphones behaving worse than Lily.

And Brian being an arse as per

Shona and David were quite sweet though.

myusernameisnotmyusername · 25/12/2017 23:20

It was a load of crap southeastdweller

EachandEveryone · 25/12/2017 23:24

Anyone else think Carla might be pregnant?

keepondreaming · 25/12/2017 23:36

It wasn't the greatest Christmas episode!

Brian can just stay in a cell for all I care. The Todd storyline is ridiculous. Gail and her headphones and Sarah getting drunk were just too contrived. Eva was showing off a bit too much of her Christmas assets! The singingvat the end was cringey.

I like the Barlows all sticking together. Tracy and Amy are funny when scoring points off each other.

I think Carla might be breastfeeding?

SpinMill · 25/12/2017 23:48

Is there really any chance that Billy would have survived that fall? Surely not.

CoolCarrie · 26/12/2017 00:01

I agree that Carla has had a baby, hence the not staying over.

scrabbler3 · 26/12/2017 00:14

I liked the interaction between Tracy and Amy. I liked the Barlows sticking together. I think that Summer's grandma is a good villain.

Sick and tired of seeing Eva's breasts. You can imagine the writers going, "fwaaaar, something for the dads". It's cringe making.

The factory stuff is tedious now. And Gary and Sarah - boring.

The song at the end - possibly a nod to Jean Alexander? She sang in her last ever ep, at Christmas, in the pub.

For a hasty re-write following Bruno L's behaviour, I think they did ok but it wasn't a classic.

RJnomore1 · 26/12/2017 00:20

Is the weather field cliff next to the red rec?

I remember the new houses being built in thev80s, I think Steph Barnes father built them, her and des lived in one.

And then des lived there with Lisa until she wa run down.

Did sally move right in? And Gail? With Martin I presume.

And I think Tracey killed Charlie in one of them.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/12/2017 00:35

Oh yes and Gina phoning the Police to report the break in instead of just telling Brian to piss off .
No-one locks doors in Corrie so he probably just walked in .

Was so happy that Billy had fell to his death, gutted he has survived really thought they had got rid of him, has ruined my Christmas Grin mind you I was even more gutted when Nick survived sinking into a bog, I was so happy to see his grizzly demise, only for him to emerge unscathed cut me to the core, but at least he had the decency to leave the cobbles, looks like we will be stuck with Billy’s hand ringing and guilt ridden face forevermore! I promise I only enjoy soap deaths of terrible characters who get on my nerves!

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 26/12/2017 03:24

Hand wringing!
