Cathy was supposed to be renting out her house, while sleeping in Yasmin's spare room. It's totally ridiculous; she ought to sell the house if she wants to stay on the street.

The point is, why would a man who has known this random little girl for 5 minutes run away with her? It opens up a whole can of worms that Corrie writers are totally not equipped to deal with. If this had actually happened in real life there would be a major police operation going on.

It would have made far far more sense for the writers to have written him out off-screen, with the excuse that he didn't need all the stress of Billy / the child / twin killing and was going off to be with his brother.

It was a bit weird the way Todd left with Summer. She should have stayed.

Brian ranting at Devs daughter was weird. She's at secondary school isn't she so why would she be visiting him and sitting on his knee in the first place? And where was her twin?

I saw Alison King being interviewed and she puts on the really hard Carla voice.

This week's episodes have been absolutely dire. The metal clover in the billy the vicar's leg really topped it off for me.

The only characters worth watching for are Kirk, Liz (for the brilliantly bad style) Steve and Tracey.

I didn't realise that was the last we see of Todd. Was he supposed to be taking Summer to her grandmother's? With only the clothes she was wearing?
I know the scene had to be hastily contrived, but surely someone could have had a better idea.

The Todd exit storyline is so ridiculous. Why didn’t they’ve just kill him off in a car accident? Why didn’t they have billy take off drunk in peter’s taxi and knock down Todd? Three birds with one stone. Todd gone, billy either dead or in prison and summer away with her granny.

I'm very confused. Summer gets a phone call off her gran then Todd pulls up and drives away with her?

Alison King gave an interview last year near to when she left saying she had meetings going on for other projects and wanted to do other things, like voiceovers (which is prohibited on a Corrie contract) and how exhausted she was...

I didn’t understand that either millimat. So was summer lying about it being her grandma?

I wondered if Todd had rung grandma to ask her to have Summer for Christmas. Will we ever find out?

I thought Peter called grandma to tell her how unsuitable Billy was as a parent for Summer?

What was happening in the very last scene on Friday? It was too dark to see. I assume it was Billy in a car, but was he in the driving seat, boot or somewhere else? Where was the car? Thank you for your help in advance.

I took it that he was in the boot of peters taxi but peter set the keys down in front of billy on the table and got him drunk so I assumed his plan was to send billy off drunk driving so he would have an accident. I guess that would risk other lives though. I don’t know how peter can talk himself out of trouble though if billy is found dead in the boot of peters car!

Well I’m still not watching and only following via this thread and can’t make head nor tail of what’s going on I might watch a few episodes now Carla is back as always loved her. Hope there isn’t going to be a love triangle with her, Peter & Toyah. Yawn.

Todd’s departure sounds crazy. Wouldn’t it have been easier just to send him off to visit a sick Jason etc (where does he live now? I vaguely remember something about moving to Thailand). Eileen could have gone with him and then returned alone “Todd has found a new boyfriend and won’t be coming back. Sorry ‘bout that Billy”
