I didn't think Jason Grimshaw looked mixed race until Tony was introduced as his Dad. I remember watching it with my Mum, I was saying ''he looks white'' (Jason, not Tony!) and she was saying, ''No he's not, he's obviously mixed race'' (the actor is mixed race.)

Funnily enough the actor's brother (I assume full rather than half) is on Emmerdale, playing a white rather than mixed race character.

I always thought Simon was white, just rather tanned.

The actor who plays Simon may have white parents, a grandparent from e.g. the Mediterranean and he has inherited that grandparent's colouring? My 2 DC are both mixed race. One child clearly looks mixed and looks like her dad's Southern European mother whilst my son strongly resembles his West Indian grandfather and is much darker skinned than his sister.

I'm not watching at the moment...so Fizz has turned against Ruby? Maybe this is a prelude to the return of Kirsty. It always seemed unrealistic to me that she would completely cut herself off from her daughter. Surely after undergoing therapy/anger management she'd want to see her again. And why haven't Ruby's grandparents ever asked for access

Yeah, the skin colours can vary in mixed race people even when they have the same parents, like Adam and Ryan Thomas.

Yeah they’re definitely building up to a Kirsty comeback. TBH I wish they wouldn’t spoonfeed us like this. It ruins the surprise. We can cope with her just being back without the drip drip drip of hints.

There's no way Anna could have scampered past that prison officer like that without him noticing. Unless he's not a seeing man. Which would make his employment challenging.

Wouldn't they have sent a female prison officer with Anna to hospital, what with the dressing/undressing, surely she wouldn't have been allowed to be alone at anytime. She wasn't allowed bail presumably because of danger of absconding, interfering with witnesses or possible self harm.
(Disclaimer- I am being logical)

When I was in hospital after having ds2 there was a lady in a private room who had just given birth, she had a prison officer sat outside her door 24/7. No way he would have moved away from the door until he was relieved by another officer.

Just watched last night's on catch-up. How vile is Gary... thinking he knows everyone's jobs better than they do....barking orders at the doctor and prison officers. There is no joy in his life whatsoever.
