Anyone else excited by the start of the new 2017 series? I am! It's the law in our house to watch all these Christmas programmes - SCD, X Factor and Celeb.

I don't know who half the contestants are but I like Fizz (Corrie). And I can hardly bear to watch the high planks tonight...

Why is Amir a disgrace Rosy? He strikes me as being very dim but kind-hearted. What's he done, in the context of I'm a celeb? And pls don't go into all the divorce / marriage stuff - us mortals will never get a true picture from the likes of the Daily Fail.

Tiff is great - I didn’t like her at first but there’s something very genuine about her.

Dodie66 - I expect that Dec's constant comments about Dennis's size will get some comeback later. Dec is probably shorter. But I agree the 'joke' has gone on a bit too long.

How awful is fizz. She's actually fizz in real life. She's bad enough in corrie abd she's the same moaning Minnie in real life too. Moaning about the cooking, moaning about missing her kids... she's getting paid a great whack ffs. And II'm done with the grieving routine. She's a bore.

I'm also sick of toff. Vardy was enjoying being a bit of a bully to Ian.

The surprise to me is amir. Very dim but such a kind hearted and magnanimous guy. He hasn't moaned or complained.

It's actually quite a boring series. Struggling to watch.

Did feel for Iain in that trial. Very claustrophobic in that space and I think he was too tall to get through easily.

I love the fact he’s gone from never having seen the programme in his life to being such a team player. It’s so odd that he’s on the programme at all, he’s still relevant, or could be at least, in the boxing ring.

I agree snozzle. His shoulders are too broad for him to get his head in the breathing box properly. Poor thing. He's being so hard on himself

The first night in ages I've been ready to sit and watch at the right time and my Sky box won't fucking turn on!! It's been nothing but trouble since it's been installed but as I hardly watch anything, it's only affected DP so I don't listen when he grunts about it not working. But now it's pissing ME off 😤

Ridiculous they let Ian do that trial. No way could he get through. They owe him an apology (and 11 meals). Bastards. Won't be watching any more.

Yes, I thought that trial was pretty dangerous - he was too big and kind of snagging on the equipment

Uncomfortable viewing with the trial.

Have come to bed to catch up here instead. Biggest challenge was finding the remote control which was eventually located under dps face - the imprint of the buttons are all down his cheek

That trial Iain was asked to do was no more difficult than any other. He could quite easily have taken a breath to get the star and head for the bigger air box. He didn’t do that due to panicking. Just one of those things. Really hope Becky and Jamie do well, hunger is a good motivator.

Are those two just going to spend the rest of the programme in that comfortable room with proper beds and pillows?

Iain is super insecure I'm not sure going into the jungle at all was his wisest idea. It's cute that Shappi seems to 'get' him and I'm pleased the others seem to have seen his weakness and backed off from being nasty too/about him. On the whole they seem like really decent people this year.

Which is so NOT what the producers really want but I do actually prefer it I think.

I also think he was just too big for that challenge, he couldn’t get his shoulders properly in that box without a fight.

Yes I agree with there not being a good way to get him out. There should have been an instant up without him having to put his head under in order to get back out. His panic attack could easily have been worse and prevented safely evacuating him by going down.

That was very uncomfortable viewing. I was struggling to breathe just watching it. Could have been really quite dangerous and I do think it hadn’t been thought through very well in regards to him being a tall chap and the ease of being able to get him out quickly. It was horrible.

The set up was too small for him. Just stupid and dangerous.

Bet Iain won’t be panicking when he gets his nice big fat pay cheque.
