Anyone else excited by the start of the new 2017 series? I am! It's the law in our house to watch all these Christmas programmes - SCD, X Factor and Celeb.

I don't know who half the contestants are but I like Fizz (Corrie). And I can hardly bear to watch the high planks tonight...

Some of them cope really well with the deluges of bugs and insects. I'm warming to Toff, she seems sweet and very uplifting, although in that situation it might grate? Agree how good looking Vanessa is. Dennis was very still and focussed, same as Kezia.

Agree about Toff, she has an endlessly uplifting attitude to everything.
I think she might end up being like Stacey Solomon a few years ago, I thought she would be annoying but she was a real gem.

Another one who is late to the thread but has been watching with DD and DS.

So far we have been surprised by Toff as to begin with we thought she would do our nut with that sickly sweet voice but now found her quite funny (although I can't help but wonder if one day some small thing will completely push her over the edge and she'll flip and go from "jolly hockey sticks" to "fuck you motherfucker" )

Also what's happened about the no luxuries rule? Toff clearly has a face full of make-up as when she woke up she had quite bad acne on her cheeks but it disappeared.

Anybody annoyed at Decs continually polonium fun at Dennis because he is small. I know some people find it funny but I don’t. He wouldn’t poke fun at colour or weight so why is he poking fun at somebody because of his size?

It's this series running gag because Dennis and Dec are exactly the same height. The joke is that by constantly poking fun at Dennis' stature, he's actually making fun of himself.

I looked them up.

Dec and Dennis are 1.68m (5'5") incidentally also the height of another famous footballer, Gianfranco Zola and Elijah Wood.

Joe is marginally taller at 1.72m (just shy of 5'6½")

Ant is 1.73m (slightly nearer 5'7")

DH checked wiki today because there was a rumour someone had changed Dennis' height to 'a very small man' but it had been changed back by the time he got there

I've enjoyed the last couple of nights, its getting better, but I think the care packages went in to early, they're only there a week, I thought they usually left them till the last week.

I wonder who will be the first to crack up and scream at everyone.

Definitely way too early with the care packages, although a nice way to reunite them (although I don't like splitting them up anyway).
Agree that the Scottish lady (forgot her name) was the right person to be without as she's only been there 2 days.
