I'm taking a Mumsnet break. I love this thread but there's a massive amount of transphobia on Mumsnet at the moment and, as the mother of a trans person, I can't take any more. I'm quite angry with myself for admitting defeat but I'm finding this exhausting. It's bad enough that my child is depressed, anxious and suicidal but knowing that someone on this thread is continually adding transphobic posts to another thread and appears to be a ringleader in inciting hatred makes me incredibly sad and uncomfortable. So I'm bowing out.
