Aaaarrrgghh. I'm at a friend 'S house tonight and she hasn't caught up so am having. To wat h the GODAWFUL angry sex thing again. On reflection , couldnit be "hangry sex". Surely you would be driven to that after only 2 tablespoons of broccoli?

intimeandspace · 23/09/2017 22:18

Excuse sorry typing...
wine etc
Dulls the pain

SheStoodInTheStorm · 23/09/2017 22:40

Hi @EnidButton !

EnidButton · 23/09/2017 23:39

Hello SheStood I never spotted you'd been lured into it too! It's such rubbish but the thing I found myself wishing it was on tonight. Sometimes a bit of daft drama is what's needed. Grin

EnidButton · 23/09/2017 23:39

*the thing is

TheweewitchRoz · 24/09/2017 12:14

Just marking place - I'm enjoying the series. Thoroughly hate Simon as I think he's driven Gemma to complete distraction. Hope the series ends well!

desperatehousewife2 · 24/09/2017 12:38

God I'm hating this series! None of the characters is in the least bit likeable and Suranne Jones annoys me most of all. The storyline is crap, some of the scenes are downright cringy and the whole thing just seems disjointed. Not sure I'll bother watching the rest

deadringer · 24/09/2017 12:41

I love it and hate it in equal measure too. I enjoyed last nights episode, Gemma is such a car crash of a character I have found it hard to find her believable, but when she was talking to isabelle about what happened with Tom she acted like a normal person for once, showing real empathy. I would hate her to be my gp she treats her patients appallingly.

Lolly12 · 24/09/2017 19:19

Also finding the whole thing ridiculous, but can't not watch... the continuity is way off. Gemma was in the car after the meeting at the school which started at 10.30, then her carclock said 15.something.

I think (as a few others have said) that they are going to do a lap around the town and return to the neighbours house to rent it out. Gemma's letting Simon think he's 'won' but she's plotting the next move.

EnidButton · 24/09/2017 21:50

Wish it was on tonight. I watched Happy Valley last night which was so well written and acted. Really excellent. But I kind of like this for being so terrible. It's like the writers and everyone just think 'fuck it' and write anything for the drama of it. It's nice fluff.

MrsKnightley · 24/09/2017 22:10

I thought she was going for rough sex with Simon so she could accuse him of rape, also of influencing his son to belittle (and potentially rape) women.

I also thought the camera was a red herring and she would have other evidence (sin heard, neighbour came round with wine and heard).

May still happen?

ConcreteUnderpants · 25/09/2017 09:41

intimeandspace - The family who live there have a son at my son's school. How they can ever eat off that kitchen worktop again....

JamOrCreamFirst · 25/09/2017 09:57

Or in the dining room Envy

SpanishFly · 25/09/2017 10:42

Yy re the continuity. Dh noticed that the 20 minute meeting at school actually lasted 5 hours.

Plus the fridge opened and closed of its own accord.
And when she was talking to Isabelle, Gemma had black boots on while running to her, then high heeled nudes while chatting to her. Just ridiculous.

intimeandspace · 25/09/2017 11:47

With all the very valid comments on continuity blips, it did occur to me that the producers may be having a laugh, and there may be a prize for the viewer with the most points for spotting errors! We here on this thread could start our own competition! Maybe a pair of LK Bennett's nude heels for the winner :-)

MusicToMyEars800 · 25/09/2017 11:50

I am soo annoyed I haven't been able to come on here whilst watching it Angry But I will be here tomorrow Grin Only 2 more episodes to go..

Inkanta · 25/09/2017 16:06

I liked the sensitive way she spoke to Tom's girlfriend and also how she assured Tom she was there for him through thick and thin.

Comedyusername · 25/09/2017 17:37

Hello all - just binge watched the 3 eps, and agree totally farfetched, unlikable characters and bad continuity, but I am gripped! I don't want to see real life, I'm happy just living it, not watching it Grin

Cafeconleche · 25/09/2017 20:29

Doctor Foster
Went to Gloucester
In a shower of rain.
He stepped in a puddle
Right up to his middle
And never went there again.

Just marking my place really.

It's totally bonkers, utterly cringe-worthy and completely unbelievable. Which makes for perfect mid-week telly in a Waitrose-meets-Dynasty type way. What's not to love? Can't wait for tomorrow night Wine

shortsaint · 25/09/2017 23:01

Well I don't want to put a spanner in the works, but my thinking is that it's a modern day Medea.

And Tom is for the chop.....

shortsaint · 25/09/2017 23:07

Oh and also probably Simon's new wife.

All those wedding dress motifs.

It has 2 more episodes, something has to happen.

Sandsunsea · 26/09/2017 08:41

I think she' is taking tom up to stay with her friend by the beach while she goes back to parminster and kills Simon.

Olympiathequeen · 26/09/2017 10:08

I was itching for Tom to blurt out to Kate that his parents had sex. Would have liked Kate to get a bit of her own medicine.

Was also cringing at the thought that Tom would come down to find his parents starkers. Grim.

It won’t end well.

woodenplank · 26/09/2017 13:25

Hello Tuesday, is everyone looking forward to an hour of crazy this evening?

Cafeconleche · 26/09/2017 13:34

anyone think that Gemma double-bluffed Simon and had set up a second camera in the dining room (whilst whipping up supper)....?
