Bloody loving this.

Even if there are inconsistencies.

Welcome back all.

Well done everyone. Seriously well done for getting through this series, it was hard but it's over now. Does gunpowder look goodish?

User843022 · 03/10/2017 22:15

'Odd scripting not to appreciate that most parents going through a separation are massively mindful of any impact. '
Yes I know it isn't always possible to hide any mutual hatred but it was all so very blatant, no mention of 'poor Tom we're really fucking him up here'.

aintnothinbutagstring · 03/10/2017 22:15

I think Tom was forever traumatised by hearing his separated parents have crazy mad hate sex in the kitchen/lounge, that's what did it.

Polkadot1974 · 03/10/2017 22:15

The shoes cane back too

LoveDeathPrizes · 03/10/2017 22:15

Oh I really wanted closure with hypochondriac patient too!

RJnomore1 · 03/10/2017 22:17

This is the first I watched any of it but it's had so much hype I kinda had to...what the fuck?

She was only in there five minutes, shy did she just crumple up and sail when he said he had gone? I'd have been in my car driving the streets looking for him while phoning everyone I knew to do the same.

Has she been that bloody useless for two series?

jobergamot · 03/10/2017 22:18

Weird. Confusing. Irritating. I can't see how any of those actors thought that was any good as a drama. 4 hours of my life frittered away....

colleysmill · 03/10/2017 22:18

I wish I'd kept count of the number of times the name Tom was called

whyhastherumgone · 03/10/2017 22:19

Gunpowder looks excellent, mainly because Kit Harington appears to be starring in it. @maudlinmaud

Willowy · 03/10/2017 22:19

I wish they’d have gone with zombie Simon script instead

PantPlot · 03/10/2017 22:19

Yy TOM and Soimon

Just frickin dire, especially that cheap hook at the end, to lead the viewer into thinking he'd run into the road. Not that I'd have cared if he had Hmm

whyhastherumgone · 03/10/2017 22:20

@colleysmill we could have turned it into a drinking game, might have made it more entertaining.
Although being preggers I'd have to do sugar shots instead.

LoveDeathPrizes · 03/10/2017 22:22

No sympathy after Simon's suicide speech and Gemma sat by idly allowing it to happen. Who does that? Bertie Carvel is, however, an amazing actor, so there's that.

PantPlot · 03/10/2017 22:24

The start of the first series was good- mainly the bit where you still weren't sure if he was having an affair or not. Then you found out he was, and all their friends knew about it and it all went a bit bonkers.

The end of series one was very benign though- I honestly thought they were lining up for the next series to be a cosy sort of Doc Foster saves the day in a different scenario every week a la Martin Clunes-type thingy.

Clearly not Grin

colleysmill · 03/10/2017 22:25

I think I recorded it so the Tom drinking game might have a trial run on Friday night 😂😂 seriously it seemed like it was every other word

Clawdy · 03/10/2017 22:26

By the end, I had no time for any of them. Incuding Tom. He was irritating me too.

Maudlinmaud · 03/10/2017 22:26

High five rum I'm definitely watching.

PickledPoglet · 03/10/2017 22:27

What a load of bollocks that ending was Angry

lollipop7 · 03/10/2017 22:28

What a load of shit.

Just awful.
Gemma and Simon deserve each other. A pair of juvenile delinquents waxing lyrical about their issues whilst their son is floundering. As a parent I struggled to watch.

Hateful.
They don't deserve him.

BigApple11 · 03/10/2017 22:28

Agreed ...:how disappointing. Load of old flannel

Charley50 · 03/10/2017 22:30

So so so so bad!! So bonkers and so nonsensical. Tom is gonna have to spend a fortune on therapy.
New series of Peaky Blinders soon to cheer me up!

MajesticWhine · 03/10/2017 22:30

You're a tough crowd. I quite enjoyed it in the end. The scene by the motorway was very scary, still feeling a bit tense. I laughed at Tom leaving his phone behind. As if a 15 year old would ever leave their phone for a second. Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/10/2017 22:31

Think I'm the only one who liked the ending tho sad for tom

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 03/10/2017 22:31

The script so far.....

Tom, it's ok
Tom, I thought I'd sorted it but it's not easy
Tom, wait there
Tom, get your things, we're going
Tom, are you ok?
Tom, he's gone
Tom, he hasn't gone
Hmm
