Yes I know it isn't always possible to hide any mutual hatred but it was all so very blatant, no mention of 'poor Tom we're really fucking him up here'.

I think Tom was forever traumatised by hearing his separated parents have crazy mad hate sex in the kitchen/lounge, that's what did it.

No sympathy after Simon's suicide speech and Gemma sat by idly allowing it to happen. Who does that? Bertie Carvel is, however, an amazing actor, so there's that.

The start of the first series was good- mainly the bit where you still weren't sure if he was having an affair or not. Then you found out he was, and all their friends knew about it and it all went a bit bonkers.

The end of series one was very benign though- I honestly thought they were lining up for the next series to be a cosy sort of Doc Foster saves the day in a different scenario every week a la Martin Clunes-type thingy.

You're a tough crowd. I quite enjoyed it in the end. The scene by the motorway was very scary, still feeling a bit tense. I laughed at Tom leaving his phone behind. As if a 15 year old would ever leave their phone for a second.

Think I'm the only one who liked the ending tho sad for tom
