What?? There's another 2 episodes?? I did think it was a slightly abrupt ending and came on here for a moan about how it's all a bit shit. Now I learn there's another two shit episodes I feel obliged to watch. But I am intrigued as to where it's going to go next. Are you sure there's more??

Seriously, there has to be a Kate scene tonight, surely? I hope it's not just Simon pursuing Gemma to some random new location and going all Stalky Stabby Ex and there's a battle for the knife and oopsy! And Simon's a goner.

It's all been a bit petty so far. There has to be more to the story than Exes Hate Each Other and Have Unconvincing Hate Sex and Then She Fucks Off. It's all a bit slight?

Diligent readers of this thread may have noticed a previous post about my proximity to Gemma's house, and to sexy Neil and driveway Anna's house (did I mention that?). Thought I'd send you a picture, real time, so you can check out the details tonight....here you go....

If either of the real owners ever sell up, I'm expecting a blue plaque: " Gemma and Simon had angry sex here" or "Anna and Neil had a civilised but mysterious exchange over a piece of crockery here"

I need answers:

(a) What did Simon tell Tom about Gemma?
(b) What was the present that Gemma gave Kate?
(c) What was the purpose of the syringe at the end of Episode 1?
(d) Where has Simon got all his money from?
(e) Who was the 'godfather' kissing Kate?

Hoping Gemma drops Tom off with whats-her-name by the coast and then returns to Parminster to rent Anna's house (secretly) (possibly also inviting Neil back for a shag) and then over the last 2 episodes carries out an amazingly well-thought-out, clever and satisfying revenge on Simon.

I'm with you all the way Elspeth. I'm now overly invested in this ludicrous, bonkers, cringe-worthy yet addictive show and there had better be a big fucking twist or I don't know what! I'll be v v if it turns out to be a modern-day Tales of the bleeding obvious Unexpected . Thankfully DH is out tonight so roll on 9pm

There's only one way it can end and that is in destruction. They hate and love each other with such intensity that it can only end in tom losing one or both parents. Unless they're planning a season three then the next two episodes are going to be seriously crap.

I also hate it, but due to a long-standing crush on Bertie Carvel, I'm duty-bound to watch it.

I reckon Tom will have learned something during his stay at Simon's that will allow Gemma to enact some sort of revenge upon Simon from a distance. Perhaps Kate's affair will blow up in Simon's face with Gemma's help. Perhaps it will have something to do with all the money Simon's had from her family (that is right, isn't it?).

Whatever happens, I was glad to see Gemma and Tom finally get in the car and bugger off from that accursed (Hot Fuzz, yes, totally!) town.

Re the present. Didn't Gemma find that on the floor in Tom's room when she was snooping? Or did I lose concentration and it was her that dropped it there?

IIRC, Gemma found Kate's present, ungiven to her by Tom, in his room. So handed it over herself, warning Kate not to show Simon.

Hmm.

I've read that in tonight's episode Kate is looking through Simon's phone and sees a picture of Gemma looking straight into the camera... I wonder if it's the pic he took of her when she was drunk?!

With the 'mystery gift/what does Tom know' I'm sticking with my 'Simon can't father children' theory. Coupled with Tom leading Gemma away then going back to Simon.

Dh has a theory that Kate is a high class call girl and that's where the money came from.

Alpha I've had no time to get wine today I like to have a glass when watching this, It makes the cringe more bearable
