Hopefully if I fill the first line or two with crap it won't show up any spoilers?

NOt my theory read iton OG but very interesting one

As we've realised, Frank Morgan played the Wizard of Oz in the 1939 film. Gene has nicknamed Sam 'Dorothy' before now... And someone else has already mentioned that Ray needs a heart, Chris needs a brain, Annie needs courage and Sam needs to get home.

Gah ... I'm meant to be going to bed. why am I trawling OG searching for references to Mumsnet instead?

There are three, by the way. All by different OG members. Two of them on the subject of SWMNBN.

lemonaid · 10/04/2007 23:32

So, Sam was... a policeman...

Have attempted to register at OG but see from BD's post that I should have brought a picnic.

MrsWho · 10/04/2007 23:33

I mean its not just the blokes on there!

OP posts:
UnquietDad · 10/04/2007 23:34

sorry, I'm lost, Mrs Who and lemonaid?...

lemonaid · 10/04/2007 23:37

On this thread

By MrsWho on Wed 04-Apr-07 21:30:54
And I think 'we' have been referenced on OG

So who was this!

Just been on a mums forum where they're all hot under the collar about Gene Hunt gleefully admitting to being a dirty swine, pmsl.

UnquietDad · 10/04/2007 23:37

Oh, I see - have just read whole thread.
No, I post on Outpost Gallifrey now and then as I think I have never hidden, but I have never mentioned mumsnet there - I think it would baffle the residents, probably...

MrsWho · 10/04/2007 23:37

It was a life on Mars coment but doesn't actually say Mumsnet , it quotes one of the Gene Hunt fans, Think its on the other Life on Mars thread here.

OP posts:
UnquietDad · 10/04/2007 23:39

No, still not me.

Bobsdad · 10/04/2007 23:39

And a sleeping bag, Lemonaid. ;) I'm not sure how the team is set up over there but the admin appears to be very busy and all the memberships have to be approved.

MrsWho ... I'm trying to think of something witty to say about the usual profile of a Who fan, but in my sleep-deprived state everything I've put so far has come out disastrously sexist. So I'm going to bed instead.

lemonaid · 10/04/2007 23:41

[acccepts UD's denial after Gene Hunt-style interrogation]

[lights flamiong torch]

[fishes pitchfork out of cupboard under stairs]

[sets off on witch-hunt (witchhunt?)]

MrsWho · 10/04/2007 23:42

UQD-I was convinced it was you oh well never mind!

OP posts:
lemonaid · 10/04/2007 23:42

"flamiong" is... umm... a really obscure Doctor Who reference. Yeah, right. And not a typo at all...

(Heck, I might even be right...)

MrsWho · 10/04/2007 23:45

Bobsdad have you found the Dr Who anonymous thread yet?

OP posts:
Bobsdad · 10/04/2007 23:45

Egad! The LoM discussion on OG is now on its fourth consecutive thread, and part 4 has 400-odd posts already. Can't be bothered trawling through all that lot.

Besides, the most interesting LoM thread I've seen so far is this one. The Polytechnic of the Bleeding Obvious is hosting a packed seminar over there.

MrsWho · 10/04/2007 23:46

Yeah thats what happens on OG [rolls eyes at lemonaid]

OP posts:
Bobsdad · 10/04/2007 23:46

Not yet, may look it up ... don't come here too often, I don't like to interfere with Bobsmum's hobby :D

MrsWho · 10/04/2007 23:50

I know I'm wadingthrough part 4 atm and ost people seem to be missing the point (well any point really!)

OP posts:
Bobsdad · 10/04/2007 23:50

Everyone sign up at OG, and start a thread suggesting 'The only established canon is that which has been broadcast on BBC1, which includes the McGann TV movie'.

You don't have to know what it means, all you have to know is that it'll bring their LoM thread to a grinding halt. And it might just shake the mystery Mumsnetter out into the open.

sigh .... I'm such a nerd.

MrsWho · 10/04/2007 23:52

They are all arguing over Prisoner and Blake 7 on page 3,4,5,6......

OP posts:
lemonaid · 10/04/2007 23:53

You see, as parents of small children we are used to piecing together clues into some tentative semblance of a coherent theory (eg; DS referring to bathsalts as "cauliflower": took a few hours to twig that he meant cornflour, which I can kind of understand (they play with it a lot at nursery). Next to that figuring out if Sam Tyler is alive or dead or what is easy. Ish.)

lemonaid · 10/04/2007 23:53

In 6 months time when we've all got approved we might just do that...

MrsWho · 10/04/2007 23:54

They don't seem to read each others posts most of the time. And are obsessed with RTD is the devil!

OP posts:
lemonaid · 10/04/2007 23:55

[doubtfully] Like the one in "The Pit" or whatever it was called? I can't see the resemblance myself. Although RTD is quite tall, admittedly.

Bobsdad · 11/04/2007 00:00

Mrs Who, when they all started getting shot outside the train, I said to Bobsmum, 'oh, this is all going a bit Blakes Seven' ... but I was making a vague comparison. Some people on OG seem to think it was some kind of 'omage.

And PMSL at the bloke who says Chris Boucher 'personally told him' that that wasn't how Blakes Seven was supposed to finish. While he was getting his autograph across a trestle table at the Mayflower Hotel Nottingham, I'll bet.

MrsWho · 11/04/2007 00:03

they're movingon to Dr Who and timetravel now
