I'm sure there are many planning to watch this tonight but I can't see a thread, apologies if there is one.

Looks promising with good acting stock. I'm already worried about the implications for real life reporting and conviction rates if the female is lying. Got a feeling it won't be that black and white though.

Yes it's gone daft but I'll keep watching.

Sorry but this is shite. Dh gave up after episode 1. I kept going. But it’s getting sillier and silllier. Serious topic, could have been handled so gently. But instead of dealing with the sensitive topic of rape, they’ve made him into a ridiculous serial raper of 12, they’ve just made him and the whole programme rubbish.

Who said she had an intact hymen? They said she had abraisons, i.e. little tears around her vagina, as you would if someone forced themselves on you with no lubrication etc.

Packof I was wondering whether it was to show (very long windedly) that people often have a different motive for the advice they give.
The sister was threatened with having her affair revealed so she encouraged Laura to back off and not pursue Andrew in any way.
Without that threat, or that she worked with him, she would have probably helped kick his bollocks in.

The doctor did say " intact hymen " because I pointed that out to my dh at the time and thought it was an strange thing to say with a pregnant woman, and she clearly didn't know that the police woman was gay, as she mentioned him, as in your partner.

The only remotely realistic bit was the complete unravelling of the lies about the sister and the ex's affair, all because of a mislaid brolly. That's just how things happen in real life.

I think the male police officer has something to do with it. Andrew seems v sure that forensic evidence won't be found.

A colleague pointed out to me that it's called Liar because all of the main characters are hiding their own secrets.

Embryos are inserted back into the womb via probe up the vagina.
Surely this breaks the hymen the same way PIV created pg would ?

Hymen only partially covers the opening - “in tact” doesn’t mean that nothing can go in/out, or else how would menstrual blood get out? The amount of stretch for ivf isn’t the same as for PIV

I just assumed that everyone was a liar, apart from Laura, who was just accused of being one, but will now become one IYSWIM.
