I'm sure there are many planning to watch this tonight but I can't see a thread, apologies if there is one.

Looks promising with good acting stock. I'm already worried about the implications for real life reporting and conviction rates if the female is lying. Got a feeling it won't be that black and white though.

Hoping the detective does not miscarry. It did not look like much blood- maybe it was from tearing from being raped. Although I have no idea whether date rape drugs can cause miscarriages.

1 there are dating sites for lgbt people too and even lgbt options on hetero sites so could be an old profile she hasn't de-activated

2 she's in a relationship with a woman now, but she could be bi.

3 may not even be a dating profile, could be fb, LinkedIn etc

Re his rape of police woman being a different MO - criminals don't always start off with the worst MO there's escalation too - ted Bundy started as a peeping Tom, escalated to minor sexual assaults inc sexual activity with corpses and it's believed date rape before eventually becoming a serial killer and full blown necrophiliac.

And sadly not as rare as we'd like to think - remember woefully low reporting and prosecution of rape - that will include what USA call 'home invasion' scenarios. There's still the shame, lack of understanding, difficulty in proving, etc as with any rape.

I shouldn't bother explaining, but no, my post does not display as much ignorance of LGBT as the rape-ignorance on here Hmm Yes, it's probably her linkedin/facebook (as I did say in my post). Initially when I saw the picture, I thought it was a dating profile (as in he had arranged a date with her and she did not know it was him because he had used a fake picture or something). He looked at it just after the son said he should 'go out and celebrate' so I thought he had arranged a date (and the same thing would happen again). I then saw that Vanessa had a (presumably long term) partner and thought it was unlikely to be arranging dates with men (not because she is not bisexual Hmm but because she is in a relationship). I did not think he would break into her house, drug her smoothie, come back and then rape her. Because that seemed unrealistic, but seemingly anything goes in this drama.

But yeah, thank you kindly for the explanation of LGBT.
