I'm sure there are many planning to watch this tonight but I can't see a thread, apologies if there is one.

Looks promising with good acting stock. I'm already worried about the implications for real life reporting and conviction rates if the female is lying. Got a feeling it won't be that black and white though.

Oh yeah - I spotted the amytriptiline and meant to mention it as i'd been watching a documentary on Peter Tobin earlier in the day (who used it to drug his victims)!!
I'd guess it would show on her drug tests, but if she already takes it for her existing mh problems (which he could potentially know both as a dr and knowing her sister?) he could have given her more?

JF was on the radio the other morning. She said this series has a definitive conclusion, and series 2 will deal with the other stories. I've Sister and boyfriend

To get into theories, maybe his wife took it too. When she was sedated, he gave her insulin, then the effects of that made her suicidal. Requires a lot of things going just right, but it's possible

Margot, I'm distracted by Ioan in general. I've been a fan for years. He's aged very nicely. As for liar, it's hard to know what to think at the moment in terms of what really happened.

How do you pronounce 'Ioan'?

Well the second series will probably be shit given the track record of the writers. Losing interest rapidly in this. Clunky script. Implausible scenarios. Dislikeable characters. Lack of attention to detail.
Feel sorry for Joanne Froggatt. Someone up thread mentioned she'd been in lots of things but I've only ever seen her in Downtown & that god-awful teapot murderer thing. It was quite nice seeing her playing a character who got to smile & let her hair down for a bit (literally) & now she's back to scraped-back hair & misery.

The Cotton murderer thing she was in last year also lost my interest. I like her in dramas, but she always plays such odd characters.

@80s that was so clunky wasn't it! No depth to it just raced through scenes at a ridiculous pace.

It wasnt a great drama - waste of a good actress.

Very odd it’s not on there. Maybe it was pulled because of some news story this week, dunno.
