Come and discuss the very last episode in the penultimate series, airing August 27th at 2am UK time! Don't read the thread if you want to avoid finding out what happens in Season 7 but also Seasons 1-6.

Please avoid discussing leaks and production details for Seasons 7 and 8 but speculate away on what we have learnt from the new episodes and what it might mean for the rest of the Season and the ultimate winner(s) of the Game of Thrones.

Ok, won't be getting to sleep for a little while! That was amazing. Not sure how they can possibly wrap everything up in just a few s8 episodes though. It feels like there's so much story left to tell.

I don't think the books will ever be finished as there are too many subplots going on now, so I hope s8 is satisfying and gives us a believable ending. It may be the only one we get!

I proper lol'd when Sam asked Bran if he'd 'seen' that Jon was coming back with Danaerys & Bran just held up the scroll

I'm wondering what can possibly destroy an undead dragon..... only another dragon, probably.
I hope Tormund and Beric survived. The Walkers seem to be marching on south rather than seeking out and slaughtering any survivors on the Wall.
I guess Bran saw it all, through the eyes of those ravens, so Winterfell might get a panic on and prepare as best they can.
Does Sam know he's Lord Tarly yet? Agree Spookle, he was so funny with Bran, so typically Sam.
Arya was superb, offing the execrable Little Fucker (as known in our house), echoes of Grey Worm executing those two lords in Essos.
It's going to be a long wait for the next instalment.
Rumour has it that the delectable Jaqen H'ghar returns in series 8....

Back on form for the finale!!! Amazing. Exactly what I hoped - some predictable bits but some less so, I didn't expect Cersei to renege or Jaime to leave her.
So next season we have Jon and Daenarys at winterfell, knowing about the dead army and also about Jon being a Targaryan, we have Jaime hopefully making it to join Daenarys and her crew, and Arya having littlefinger's face to off Cersei...
How tf will they kill the ice dragon? Dragonglass bolts might do it but aargh. I'm scared for drogon and rhaegal too.

Well, the direct juxtaposition with Bran voice-overing an explanation of precisely how they are related was not making it any better either ...

Talking of which: Did anyone else think they did not exactly have great chemistry in that scene? I saw that bum, and I still wouldn't have. Didn't feel particularly sexy for some reason.

Yeah considering we've been building up to it for ages, it wasn't the sexiest sex scene.

Gutted about Tormund. I can't wait 2 years to find out what's happened to him.

Fab episode. My highlights were definitely Littlefinger and Theon.

My highlight was Sansa using LF's own lesson against him. That was ace!

The scene between Cersei and Tyrion worked really well. Lena and Peter were on form. The dodgy 'clutching the belly' bit was a bit naff though.

Well done Sansa - good dialogue and well acted by all. So glad to see the end of Littlefinger.

Looks like we're getting Cleganebowl in S8. I hope it's done more as a mercy killing and less as vengeance. There's too much celebration of vengeance in this TV show in my opinion.
