New thread ,as we are very close to the end of the other.

I'm in denial that it is nearly September.

I am looking forward to Flushing Meadows. I feels like ages ages since I was able to 'watch' any tennis.

Cilic has made a poor start and Federer is having him for breakfast. (Well it's probably dinner in Aus). How depressing.

Wow this is depressing, and very dull to watch.

I was keeping up with the scores and then made it to the tv. It's not going to be a vintage final, unless Cilic gets a boost.

I'm sick of Federer having it his own way.

Now, come on Marin- at least take a set off him (Roger was very smug about getting this far without losing a set).

Of course it's to Federer's advantage to have the roof shut. His favourite surface is indoor hardcourts.

Even the crowd and commentators seem subdued, biased as usual but subdued.

They were discussing the roof closure. I don't see how yesterday wasn't worse.

Whilst I'm sure it's more comfortable for both of them, I know who will be benefiting more from not starting out with roof open.

Last year was a more even split with Rafa/Roger fans, which was a more exciting atmosphere. Maybe even the Roger fans are bored

And now biased Mats has turned up to commentate. I usually love Mats, but he will give Marin no credit, probably.

I agree thank Rafa v fed matches always have the best atmosphere. (Always better when Rafa wins of course )
Some great returns from Marin there, no break but at least one looks possible now.
