SPOILERS, do not read if you don't want to see them!!!

OP posts:
HolyShmoly · 16/08/2017 21:23

Ah I thought there was someone else who was thrown to the undead and kind of pulled apart.

As an aside, I don't like when zombies are just skeletons. How are they meant to move without ligaments? What's holding the bones together? This makes no logical sense.

3EyedRaven · 16/08/2017 21:23

I hope she does slay him. However all her 'it was me who won the battle of the bastards'
No, it was littlefinger

Middleoftheroad · 16/08/2017 21:27

That was tense. I couldn't tell who was being attacked - may have been my copy or intentional.

I wasn't keen on Gendry being a bit of a bafoon in parts, a whinger etc. He always seemed more on the ball with Arya.

Oh Arya.... Sansa asked who gave Arya the scroll. If Arya had mentioned it was LF I'm sure they could have ironed it all out. But Arya is being a twat right now and those masks were crap.

The NK could give Tessa Sanderson a good run for her money with the way he aimed the javelin.

3EyedRaven · 16/08/2017 21:28

This episode was basically game of thrones meets the walking dead.
Where's Bran? Why ain't Sansa talking to him, rather than littlefinger.
Sure, he's minds a bit occupied at the minute, but at least try and ask him questions! That goes for both of them!
Dany needs new facial reactions.
It was fine when you had that face when Viserys died, but you should have a different one when Viserion dies! Some sort of emotion?

AryaUnderfoot · 16/08/2017 21:29

This makes no logical sense.

I hate to break it to you, but.... Grin

These same zombies have the ability to forge large dragon-dragging chains... I wonder how long a blacksmith's apprenticeship is in the Night King's Army?

AryaUnderfoot · 16/08/2017 21:34

Where's Bran?

Bran is in suspended animation waiting for the great event know as 'the big end of season reveal'.

Either that or no-one remembered to build a wheelchair ramp to the Godswood and he's been stuck there for 2 episodes with snow piling up around him.

Why do D&D write female characters so fucking badly when GRRM writes them so well? They are all shown as incompetent or mad (apart from Meera who had two lines this season).

QueenoftheAndals · 16/08/2017 21:35

Nah, there's clearly a zombie Halfords they can pop at any point...

Underthemoonlight · 16/08/2017 21:36

Wow what an episode was lucky to watch it in HD. Ayra is pissing me off I think her treatment of Sansa was appalling she was wipped and beaten when she was in the care of Joffrey and married to tyrion. She then went on to be raped daily by Ramsey.

I'm hoping bran tells Ayra what Sansa went through. She seems so bigbeaded about her own journey she doesn't seem interested in anyone else's journeys.

The bear attack was brilliant I jumped off my set and was on edge when the wights and white walkers came. I think dany has a very soft spot for Jon and she looked concerned and worried for him, I think she's falling in love with him. Can't wait to see the last episode.

Middleoftheroad · 16/08/2017 21:40

Cleary Brienne warning Sansa and Sansa saying she's safe means that LF will try something next week. Maybe there's a big reveal about how he knew what Ramsay could do and Arya overhears then kills LF. I think though Sansa may kill him. With the dagger. In the hall.

HopefullyAnonymous · 16/08/2017 21:40

Anyone know if it's available on kodi yet?

Middleoftheroad · 16/08/2017 21:43

I need a reminder of Dany's (sorry, my quuen's) visions and the one with the iron throne in ashes (after NK and viserion go nuclear?)

Middleoftheroad · 16/08/2017 21:43

yes just watched on Salts but not greatest sound. watchable

QueenoftheAndals · 16/08/2017 22:09

If I were Sansa I'd send Arya to represent her in Kings Landing. And Cersei is on her list after all...

SheGotOffThePlane · 16/08/2017 22:11

Right I've watched half the leaked ep but want to know who was killed beyond the wall? Anyone care to oblige?

PetyrBaelish · 16/08/2017 22:20

Middleoftheroad *I think though Sansa may kill him. With the dagger. In the hall."

I had my money on Professor Plum, in the library, with the candlestick. Grin

I thought the white dragon reveal was predictable, and I don't know how those walkers got the chains around the dragon, even if they did go to zombie Halfords to buy them.

All the long fighting between the walkers and the good guys also had many moments that made me think "...really?", lots of things were a bit too lucky.

I don't think Jon was proposing, but I do think that there was subtext that both of them were aware of that getting together is a possibility, like when Dany emphasised "they are the only children I will ever have, do you understand?" she was giving him a heads up that she is infertile.

Sorry about that fbook link, I posted while I was halfway through watching Grin I didn't even pick up the end was missing until today even though I had read the spoilers!

AryaUnderfoot · 17/08/2017 07:19

OfficerVanHalen Wight bites are not infectious - this is not 28 Days Later. To become a Wight you have to be a corpse that's re-animated by a White Walker.

I'm just glad they didn't try to do the Ice Spiders - that would have looked very Hobbit/Harry Potter.

Whilst visually spectacular, I still think 'Operation Grab-a-Wight' is a stupid storyline. Yes there was some amusing dialogue, but it still felt like it was written by a 19 year old fan-boy. "I hate gingers" may be a funny line, but I definitely think the Hound left his redemption arc somewhere in the Riverlands.

It's funny how at the beginning of the season everyone was talking about what an arse Bran was for passing through the the wall with the 'Dark Mark' and thus allowing the Night's King to follow him. Now Dany and co have just given him a dragon! That was a good move. I hope the Wight was worth it...

Peabrain14 · 17/08/2017 08:45

Do they still have the wight then?

AryaUnderfoot · 17/08/2017 08:54

They still have the Wight. The Hound impaled it onto one of Drogon's spikes before they took off and was loading it onto the boat before they left Eastwatch.

Let's hope it lasts longer than the hand that Allister Thorne took to King's Landig.

I'm not sure why Cersei needs proof that zombies exist when she already has one on her Queensguard...

3EyedRaven · 17/08/2017 09:00

Well, book Sansa is the maid who slays the giant, and book Sansa didn't get sent to Ramsay, that was Jeyne Pool. Book Sansa started off as an annoying brat, but is maturing and learning.
Show Sansa is just an idiot, and unfortunately, just because you've been through a lot and suffered, doesn't mean you automatically get smarter.
That's why I don't understand the comments along the lines of Arya's needs to understand what she's been through, I mean it will probably make Arya a lot more sympathetic to Sansa, but I doubt it will make her believe that Sansa suddenly has the ability to hold the North.

3EyedRaven · 17/08/2017 09:02

And I agree the faces looked like shit!
Has another thought, does Arya feel the emotions of the faces she wears in the show?
Am sure that was a thing in the book, feeling the anger and despair of the girl who was abused by her father.

RhinoGirl · 17/08/2017 09:07

The episode i watched cut off before the end!! 😡 Jon had fallen in the water... is he alive?!

Peabrain14 · 17/08/2017 09:22

Thanks Ayra - missed that but you can always rely on the hound. Good point re zombie mountain!

Rhino - Jon pulled himself out of the lake & Benjen appeared on a horse & sacrificed himself so Jon could ride back to safety.

Ijustwantaquietlife · 17/08/2017 09:25

Danny is a shit mum, she was glad a dragon died in order to save John. As far as I'm concerned they should have all died for such a ridiculous and stupid plan.

I'm hoping finally aria and sansa are working together and will kill petr next week. But I've been let down by those two so many times...
