I don't want to read the thread but if I could be sent a link to watch I will join you later

Wobblebeans · 16/08/2017 18:00

Wow, although I'd read spoilers about a dragon wight, I didn't actually see that coming at all Shock

AryaUnderfoot · 16/08/2017 18:05

Yep, it looks like all the speculation about the third head of the dragon is a bit of a moot point. Tyrion as a 'secret Targ' is pretty irrelevant now as he's never riding that dragon!

I still think it'll be Euron who steals the dragon in the books, but I could be totally wrong.

ElenaGreco123 · 16/08/2017 18:31

I'll have to read the Ice Dragon book now, but it sounds harrowing.

These leaks must be intentional to hype it. No one ever said on these threads, "saw the leak, it is crap, don't watch it." All the comments are "wow, you have to watch it in hd, really".

AryaUnderfoot · 16/08/2017 18:53

I've never read the Ice Dragon book. The only Ice Dragon I remember is the star constellation with the blue star for the eye that always points north. I think Old Nan had some tales about the Ice Dragon but she had a lot of tales about everything.

I seem to remember 'sightings' of Ice Dragons around Ibben, but I can't imagine a WW getting hold of Viserion in the books.

TBH it is not that great an episode. Dialogue between Tormund and Sandor, while amusing, is just more fan-service. Dany even manages to do deadpan-Dany when her dragon dies - Drogon's response was more emotional!

Arya is just irritating. I want to punch her (and change my username).

LivingInMidnight · 16/08/2017 19:18

Why are people watching bad quality when there's 1080p with great audio?

Sad I'm a bit heartbroken about the dragon. Also creepy arya is just weird.

magicstar1 · 16/08/2017 19:31

I avoided this thread until I got home to watch it...wow! Great episode. DH and I were on the edges of our seats.

This is a really good link

Thoughts are:
Dany, ffs, you appointed Tyrion as your hand, he is giving you good advice, ffs woman, listen!
Arya stop being such a judgemental little shit, try listening!
Sansa, tell her in full what actually happened!!
Littlefinger, why are you not dead already?
Jon stop fudging the whole died thing, it makes you SPECIAL!!
I really thought that Jon was a gonner. A very heart in mouth episode. Very glad that Tormund survived.

3EyedRaven · 16/08/2017 20:21

I've got a passworded link, not great quality but can pm it if anyone wants

Peabrain14 · 16/08/2017 20:36

Thanks for the Reddit links, arghh!

So happy Tormund lives to hopefully have those giant babies. Arya is really pissing me off!

Room101isWhereIUsedToLive · 16/08/2017 20:43

Really loved The Hound telling Gendry to stop whinging. And loved Jorah talking about Bear Claw being for Jon and his future children, especially as he used the word children and not the words sons.

3EyedRaven · 16/08/2017 20:48

Arya's rift on the money. And what's the first thing Sansa does? Confides in Littlefinger.
Sansa's a dickhead

3EyedRaven · 16/08/2017 20:48

*right on.

Peabrain14 · 16/08/2017 20:51

Did anyone think Dany was pulling back from Jon? He seemed smitten.

Peabrain14 · 16/08/2017 20:53

Agree that Sansa is stupid for trusting LF but hopefully she's just trying to play him. I thought Arya came across too cocky & self assured.

3EyedRaven · 16/08/2017 20:58

It doesn't bother me when people are cocksure, if I agree with them Grin
Of all the people in the North, Sansa's running to littlefinger.

AryaUnderfoot · 16/08/2017 21:04

Arya has a serious blind spot as far as Sansa is concerned that's clouding her judgment.

Sansa has a much better idea of Littlefinger's schemes than anyone.

Sansa's destiny has always been to be the one to take Littlefinger down.

She is the maid to slay the savage giant in the snow castle.

SoPassRemarkable · 16/08/2017 21:07

Great episode.

I'm very worried the NK is going to take that zombie dragon and fly it round Westeros burning Kings Landing, etc to the ground.

QueenoftheAndals · 16/08/2017 21:11

God but Arya is annoying. Does she have any idea what Sansa has been through? Really don't like how the writers have turned her into Ms Judgey Pants.

QueenoftheAndals · 16/08/2017 21:12

I'm very worried the NK is going to take that zombie dragon and fly it round Westeros burning Kings Landing, etc to the ground.

Would a zombie dragon be able to burn anything? Surely it'd blow ice rather than fire?

HolyShmoly · 16/08/2017 21:13

I can't wait to watch it again on Monday in actual decent quality.

Ah my boss called ice dragon, but I'm not sure if he read the spoilers or not.

Why does no one know what to do with Arya? She was such a promising character and now...

I was expecting a proper visceral reaction from Dany when the dragon died. I'm guessing it was Visyrion? The quality isn't great. Which members of the fellowship died?

BENJEN! Where the fuck has he been hiding these last ten years?

Was the undead army just carrying those giant chains around with them?

What did Thoros say to Jon? He didn't look much like his Dad so he must favour his mother?

QueenoftheAndals · 16/08/2017 21:14

What happened to the second dragon? All three were there, then one died and then there was just one left.

SoPassRemarkable · 16/08/2017 21:16

Good point that maybe a zombie dragon can't do fire.

AryaUnderfoot · 16/08/2017 21:17

Hah, at least Benjen is still Uncle Benjen.

He's the only character whose relationship to Jon Snow has remained the same...

Yes, Thoros said he must favour his mother.

All members of the fellowship-of-the-Wight are alive apart from Thoros (and the guys in the red shirts).

So glad Hound saved Tormund..... Even though he's a ginger.

AryaUnderfoot · 16/08/2017 21:19

2 dragons are left alive.

What's the point of an Ice dragon if it can't breathe ice-fire? Would that possibly be something D&D would overlook?

Ice dragons come equipped with heat-seeking missiles, a cloaking device, warp drive and photon torpedoes!
