I thought we could do with a thread for those of us who have read all the spoilers for the full season.

Nothing is not allowed.

Relation = reaction

Where on earth did that autocorrect come from?

MyOtherProfile · 19/08/2017 09:00

And more to the point why don't any of the guys in the snow wear a hat? Did nobody ever tell them keeping their heads warm is half the battle?

MyOtherProfile · 19/08/2017 09:03

You're probably right about the wind. I was imagining a new more self confident Hound embracing his looks! But yes probably just windswept and interesting Grin
Not seen the leaked ep yet. We get back from holiday later today so I may finally get a minute or 60 to myself... sounds worth a watch!

MyOtherProfile · 19/08/2017 09:04

Back on the hat subject, I've always thought Rory suits hats so he could definitely have worn one in the snow!

AryaUnderfoot · 19/08/2017 09:52

You're right about the hats! Beric suits a hat too - he looked great in Fortitude. I love his voice...

Maybe scarves too? Surely they'd have been invented in Westeros by now...

AryaUnderfoot · 19/08/2017 09:55

So, those of us who have read all the leaks can feel vindicated - the Big Man himself approves:

AryaUnderfoot · 19/08/2017 09:58

MyOtherProfile hope you have had a good holiday.

BelaLugosisShed · 19/08/2017 11:09

Has anyone else seen the supposed s8 plot leak?
If it's real, it's pretty crap - *** on the iron throne, pretty much every main character dead - really?Hmm
I hope it's just some bad fan fiction.

BeyondQueenOfLists · 19/08/2017 11:35

Where is it, Bella?

AryaUnderfoot · 19/08/2017 12:00

Season 8 plot leaks are here:

www.desinerd.co.in/game-of-thrones-season-8-leaks-spoilers/

It sounds like a dodgy work of fan-fiction, but then again I said that about the season 7 leaks and they were all spot-on apart from 1 minor point.

TBH, the ending doesn't sound totally implausible and includes some things I would suspect would be likely to happen in the books.

AryaUnderfoot · 19/08/2017 12:09

Season 7 leaks all started to be confirmed by Watchers on the Wall when actors started turning up in various locations. For example, team grab-a-Wight were all spotted together in Iceleand and team dragonpit parlay were all filming together at Italica just before Christmas. I think aerial drones around Belfast picked up the snowy scene at the farmer's cottage from episode 1. Photos of Euron marching the prisoner's through Dubrovnik were leaked sometime around January/February.

It will be interesting to see what happens this winter when filming at the outdoor locations starts. They used Italica in Spain for the Dragonpit this year and another location in Spain for Dragonstone. It was the latter that proved to be the biggest ball-ache for the producers as the paparazzi were able to get onto the cliffs above the location and film Jon and co arriving at Dragonstone in full detail.

ElenaGreco123 · 19/08/2017 16:53

Arya Thanks for the link. It does sound like fan fiction, but not a million miles worse than what passes for season 6.

One thing was not obvious to me. Who told Daenerys about Jon's true heritage?

MyOtherProfile · 19/08/2017 17:14

Oh my goodness I just read the season 8 leaks. I don't know but it all sounds pretty plausible to me. Mainly because I really think anything could happen!

MrsJoyOdell · 19/08/2017 17:16

Urrrrrgh season 8 leaks are very plausible and shit all at the same time. I almost want to give up watching now tbh. Shit, shit ending.

FanwankTheAbsurd · 19/08/2017 17:30

Oh no, that's utter shite, can't believe I just wasted my time reading that. I know the show writing has deteriorated over the years (since they ran out of book words) but that is utter drivel.

AryaUnderfoot · 19/08/2017 17:48

Who told Daenerys about Jon's true heritage?

I assume it happens when they have a conversation about her pregnancy in Greywater Watch in episode 3.

What really bugs me is that Howland Reed supposedly dies in episode 2 but is alive and having conversations with Jon in episode 3.

That kind of plot hole makes me think the leaks must be real :-P

TBH, it all just sounds like a collection of popular fan theories strung together.

MyOtherProfile · 19/08/2017 18:00

It sounds like they are trying to give everyone a bit of what they want to keep fans on board.
Arya gets her revenge tick
Cleganebowl tick
Jon and Dany and a baby tick
Sands married off happily at last tick
Brienne and Jaime tick
And on and on

AryaUnderfoot · 19/08/2017 18:06

I have one VERY HUGE gripe with it......

I can forgive everything else but this.....

The implication that Bronn ends up married to a Sand Fake and living in a castle in Dorne!

No, no, no, no, no, no, no!

Why does he get to live happily ever after when so many of our faves end up toast?

Yuck.

It better be fake!

MrsJoyOdell · 19/08/2017 18:11

Why are Jon and Dany getting shafted with such shit endings too. All that time building up such a strong character just to cark it in the same manner as any other person. I know that's what real life is blah blah, but this is GoT, it should be sensationalised!

BeyondQueenOfLists · 19/08/2017 18:11

I assume we're okay to talk about these leaks here? If not, don't read the rest of my post!!! Grin

Bronn had a thing with the one of the sand snakes didn't he? Weird how she's dead and awol right up until the final scene though!!

Briennes death made me well up a tad, even reading a leak with no added flourishes.

I thought I'd misread something when Howland reed came back to life😂

ElenaGreco123 · 19/08/2017 18:44

Joy I have obviously no proof for this, but I do not think either Jon or Dany will survive the Dream of Spring, ie the final book.

FanwankTheAbsurd · 19/08/2017 18:45

Yeah, this thread is open to anything (ooh err missus)

No way would Brienne fuck Jamie. She might want to, but I don't think she ever would.

Bronn and a Sand snake would have been okay had it been Tyene, but not with a.n.other sand snake ffs.

Varys killing dany?? Yeah right.

Beric going through all that shite, being bought back to life repeatedly...for what...to die offscreen. No fucking way.

And why would anyone, even fucking loon Aerys, store wildfyre under a fucking dragon pit??

I'm hoping it's mostly fan fic (as it was shite).

OP posts:
AryaUnderfoot · 19/08/2017 19:26

And why would anyone, even fucking loon Aerys, store wildfyre under a fucking dragon pit??

Mad King Aerys did store caches of wildfire around KL in the books. Locations included the Great Sept of Baelor, Red Keep and ....... The Dragonpit.

The dragons had all died out at least a hundred years earlier, so no danger of dragon fire there!

Bran's vision of a dragon over KL in season 6 followed by a wildfire explosion could foreshadow this.

It sounds like fanfic, but I am casting my mind back to a thought I had last year....

'Jon, Jorah, Gendry, Beric, Tormund, Thoros and he Hound go north of the wall to catch a Wight to prove they exist...... That sounds like pure fanfic'.

AryaUnderfoot · 19/08/2017 19:29

Elena I agree with you that Jon and Dany are not going to survive the series.

I think Sansa will - which will make an awful lot of show fans very unhappy indeed.

ElenaGreco123 · 19/08/2017 19:35

I don't remember this, but apparently:

The Sworn Sword
During the Great Spring Sickness so many people died so quickly that there was no time to bury the bodies. Instead they were piled up in the Dragonpit and when the corpses were 10 feet deep the Hand of the King, Lord Brynden Rivers, ordered the pyromancers to burn them. The light of the fires shone through the windows and by night citizens could see the dark green glow of wildfire all through King's Landing.
awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Dragonpit

In the show Jaime and Brienne had basically no relationship. In the books they are constantly in each other's thoughts. Jaime and Cersei get estranged between Joffrey's and Tywin's death. Jaime leaves Kings Landing after Tywin's funeral and never comes back even when Cersei begs him. Jaime follows Brienne even she leads him to almost certain death.
In the books I can see Brienne and Jaime get intimate.
