Heather is my favourite of all the Brits. It's such a shame she had had health issues that sidelined her for so long in the past. She has a lovely, positive outlook. And yes, she's really posh

The more I think about Kunta Konta the crosser I feel. Such disrespect to walk off - all the people she beat waited for her.

She may be my local girl but she has dropped 101 points in my estimation.

I'd put my money on a Cilic/Federer final & Federer to win.

Oh come on, give the girl a break! All the pressure she'd been under, all the talk of how maybe she could win the whole thing, in the anniversary year of Wade's win etc etc. She probably wanted to get off asap so she could burst into tears and/or scream! Especially considering she probably felt she hadn't played to her highest standard.

Plenty of male players and other female players who've lost walk off without stopping. Why the double standards?

I thought she looked as if she was trying to hold back the tears and just wanted to get off court as fast as possible.

Well played Venus, she is a true legend. I hope the final is a better match than the semis, and I want Garbine to win, I like her a lot.

I'm expecting a Cilic v Federer final, and going by the way he's been playing, Federer to win.

I;m not a big Rafa fan, but he managed to sign autographs after a much longer and more gruelling match than Konta had and he also looked really upset. She could have signed one or two as a token gesture - i know its easy for me to say, but good manners dont hurt and fans will be loyal if you treat them right! People soon turn if you dont.
They were talking about her on five live and she does appear to have a superior detached attitude on the circuit - they were being diplomatic talking about her , but reading between the lines she has never tried to make friends or appears very warm. Maybe losing yesterday may make her drop her attitude a bit! If its Cilic Feds then i still go with Federer, he is a machine.

Joking aside from me, I do think she was trying to hold it together, and no-one will have understood that more than Venus, who has been around long enough to have experienced enough disappointments of her own.

To see real ungracious behaviour in defeat, Google Borna Coric at the French Open. That's really how not to leave the court!

Just in slight defence of Konta, I thought that I did see her sign a few autographs before leaving the court completely? I agree that she should have waited for Venus though.

The press have commented on her not waiting for Venus: a shame she couldn't exit Wimbledon gracefully as so many of the others have done. But Kyrgios didn't wait for his opponent either so she's in good company

Caught half of the Watson and Kontinen quarter final, very entertaining and would love to see them go further.

Rafa gave a perfect example of good manners by waiting after what must have been a very disappointing defeat. Love that man.
Of course it would have been decent of Jo to wait for Venus, but we should cut her some slack. She probably didn't want to break down in public, and she probably wasn't really even thinking straight, just reacting in the moment. She has had a great tournament and conducted herself well overall. I loved how she kind of sent herself up over the muffin making. So she's a good egg I think.

sorry - if she did sign autographs then that is fine. not waiting for her opponent isnt good though. I did like her, now i am not so sure really. i wont see her play again now till next years Wimbledon i suppose anyway and she was funny about the cake making. I just hope that the instant fame she now has wont go to her head!

I think we should cut her some slack. It is lovely when players wait for each other, but I think most of the winners understand, if the losers just want to get off the court as quickly as possible. This year is the first in a long, long time that I've noticed both players leaving a court together, so that's good.

Saw most of the Murray/Hingis match and some of the men's doubles that Kontinen was playing in and really enjoyed it too - have been focusing so much on the singles, I hadn't realised what I was missing in the doubles!

Love the way they whisper to each other - one of the players was doing it behind the handful of tennis balls he had I like the beach-volleyball style hand gestures behind the back too.

TheOnly i love he whispering. I like to think they are either making personal comments about the opponents, or just saying 'rhubarb' and eyeballing each other

See, I thought that it was Venus was being rude yesterday, making Jo wait at the net before the match, Jo was ready to start, but Venus was faffing about taking her time, tying yet again her shoelaces etc etc.

Who'd have though Michael Llodra was so funny? was watching him and the Ledge that is Bahrami on the inv doubles, and Llodra was just as funny as Mansur!

why do the BBC always put 'today at W' at 10.30 on the sunday? a whole film before then. surely they've got all the bits they need.

would like Berdych and Querry in final just because 2 new faces for once (even though Berdych was in final a while back), but a new winner, a-la Krajceck/Washington.

But I love Cilic (don't think Ive mentioned that before ) and Fed, as much as I don't like him, hes chasing the record to beat Sampras.

why didn't Hingis stay with Paes? they won a couple of years back . Her and Jamie are a good team though, as is Heather and Incontinence ! .

Mac is terrible when it comes to pronouncing most names

Querrey looks like the type of young American who talks loudly so everyone knows he is there, or moans a lot in restaurants and in airports.
He is probably not like this at all, book by the cover and all that, but i cant take to him!
Not bothered who wins this.

Funny listening to Goran commentating on his match on 5 live, whilst on the school run. I can't remember why they parted ways.

And Annabel croft said Querrey has strange long arms that don't move when he walks. Someone said like a Neanderthal
