Am most excited & thought the grass needs a new thread.

I'll stick my neck out & say Fed to win the mens' & Carolina Plisshkova (sp?) for the womens'.

With Kyrgios, it's not only his injuries, but the fact he gives up as soon as he is losing.

He is renowned for ' tanking'.

He always seems to get lucky. I'd say he would rather have had a proper match though.

I love the Dog too. It's a shame he has never fulfilled his potential, as they say. I put him in the same box as Baghdatis, in that respect, who I also love.

How do you mangle Zverev?

DH just about has apoplexy every time a commentator says Kvitova (or Kvyat in F1).

I saw McEnroe play in Didsbury, when it was still a fairly major tournament, pre Wimbledon, way back in 82. My mum was always a Connors fan. Then in '83, I discovered a young Stefan Edberg, and the rest was history. and he should have married me.

Grouchy they keep saying Zeverev, instead of Zv-erev. there is no 'e' between the Z and the v. I did Russian up to 'A' level, and it grates on me.

Bah, so envious of all of you who have been to tournaments (or are going soon).

DD1 asked if we can go to Wimbledon next year. I might suggest we go the following year and her grandparents can look after the younger two.

Thiem coming up on court one - I used to like him a lot until he beat Rafa in Rome - still got a soft spot for him though

Fizzy yes, I'd be gutted too. On paper, it looked like a perfect day for great matches( if you like Djok and Federer).

My DS has been on Centre Court today. Corporate hospitality. I don't think he feels too gutted!
