Am most excited & thought the grass needs a new thread.

I'll stick my neck out & say Fed to win the mens' & Carolina Plisshkova (sp?) for the womens'.

Because I am bored, and dd2 is ill, I got to thinking about how there are only 7 male active players who have won slams . (Rog, Rafa, Djok, Stan, Murray, Delpo and Cilic) . And I thought (without googling) there must be a more women- but turns out I can't think of that many (shows how dominant Serena in particular has been) but I'm sure I'm missing some...

I'll just keep an eye on the Djokovic match - think it should have been on centre court yesterday - sometimes Wimbledon seems very stuck in its ways - especially with possible rain today.

I too thought celebrity bake off when Konta was talking about her muffins - the raspberry ones sounded yum! Will probably watch her match later - hope she gets through to the semis.

I am toyed and other Ivanovic, but she definitely retired last year.

Could we count Hingis? She's still active but only doubles.

Not sure about Hingis- she did 'retire' and then come back.

There will have to be strict guide lines. Jankovic doesn't count either- her title came in mixed, even though she is still active in singles .

I like it when boris and mac commentate - they both talk a lot but are more interesting than the usual crew - sue always seems worried about what boris is going to say next - he was MIA the other day and she couldn't find him!

Rafa fortunately saw the funny side of the head bump- hopefully no long term damage. It was a great match. It was a shame someone had to lose.

I can't get anything done. Can't take the dog out yet, because dd2 is ill, can't go shopping, dog is under my feet so can't tidy up. I'm a bit fed up really.

I'm in a terrible mood today. DCs have drawn all over walls & other things upstairs and deliberately flooded the bathroom. So I've plonked them in front of the TV and am doing retail therapy in the form of Prime Day on Amazon.

What a shame that Mannarino couldn't dump Djokovic out. V. happy for Muguruza, Venus looks like she's in great form, hope Jo does well. Won't be watching anything today.

Very pleased for Muguruza. Not getting to watch much, in-between school runs and sorting out other school related dilemmas.
