Am most excited & thought the grass needs a new thread.

I'll stick my neck out & say Fed to win the mens' & Carolina Plisshkova (sp?) for the womens'.

Yes, sounds like he disagreed. It's a shame. He has been playing so well it's a shame if this overshadows how he has been improving this year.

Rafa looking strong and like he means business - he was like this at RG so hopefully will get same result at Wimbledon (fingers crossed) - would love to see a fed/Rafa final

Mine is Stefan Edberg . I loved him. He was just lovely. Still is. And now I love Rafa.

Two different players , style wise, you couldn't get , really! But both renowned for being really nice guys, on and off court.

Stefan Edberg is my favourite player of all time although closely followed by Roger Federer - both so graceful on court and seem lovely too.

I'm not much of a Roger fan- though I should be, as he's probably quite Edberg-like in style. But I do appreciate the rivalry with Rafa over the years, because it has produced such great stuff. And I don't find him dull to watch, the way I did Sampras, when he was dominant. I

I do get why people might find him a bit arrogant perhaps, maybe that's not the right word. But has an air about him. But he is one of the greatest sportmen of all time. Not just tennis. And he gets invited to 'fake' Royal weddings . He can afford a few airs, I suppose.

My favourite of all time -John Newcombe, but maybe due to being an impressionable teenager. - those shorts!

I admire Roger because he is an amazing player but I wouldn't say I'm a fan of his! I couldn't stand Sampras whatsoever.

McEnroe was my favourite and now Rafa.

In the women's there is no one to rival Martina Navratilova for me, she was amazing.

I liked Martina, and Steffi. I wanted to be Gabby Sabatini, I thought she was gorgeous. .

Arantxa Sanchez is almost exactly my age. 12 days older, so when she won the French Open, I was a big fan of hers.

Poor Kvitova.

I really wanted her to well, after horrible experience.
