A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

The sign on his first day Hmm surely they’d bus someone in rather than promote a brand new consultant.

Dylan was well played though. Believed the under the influence version of him.

dolfinne · 31/01/2018 21:38

Hopefully Dylan isnt away for long, he is one of the few i can really stand, the list is getting shorter now Max went

Purplemond · 01/02/2018 13:40

I saw a image of the cast at the NTA awards and Will Beck had a fuller beard i wonder if thats for another part or casualty ?

BashStreetKid · 01/02/2018 14:14

I bet a replacement for Dylan (temporary, I sincerely hope) turns up out of the blue yet again with no sign of a lawful recruitment process.

mirage937 · 01/02/2018 15:57

I thought the new look suited him

StripySocksAndDocs · 02/02/2018 20:33

Im only just catching up now. Don't like the roads they are sending either Dylan or Ethan down.

Dylan is a brilliant character. There's no need to change it.

It's just getting boring with Ethan. He's obviously supposed to be a capable doctor. Can we just have him with even an ounce of confidence - it's time for a clinical lead that's likable (and not Connie)

purpleme12 · 02/02/2018 22:03

I thought this advance in Ethan's career is going to give him an ounce more confidence. I thought that was the road they're going down

Who's Alicia waiting for?

Was a tough one. Been in a hospital that was that full/at crisis. Not quite as dramatic (for me) but an unbelievable stretch service.

BumpowderSneezeonAndSnot · 03/02/2018 22:31

I hate how overtly political casualty has become. It's brain fart telly. It's become dull. I know this shit happens - it's happened to me it's happened to DH before - but urgh just go back to the tractor crashes and interdepartmental love triangles please

purpleme12 · 04/02/2018 00:11

Stripy socks do you mean who was she waiting for at the end? She wasn't waiting for anyone. She'd gone to that hotel that Kam worked at and was having his cakes he made

StripySocksAndDocs · 04/02/2018 07:33

Oh right!! It was the focus on high tea for two bit. i took as there were to be two of them. It was more about the cakes then!!

Frith1975 · 04/02/2018 09:29

Nice to see Gwen is no longer making omelettes for Nessa but has found love.

campingismyjam17 · 04/02/2018 09:45

Is it worth watching? I fell asleep but heard from DH, no Connie or Dylan in it.

JustDanceAddict · 04/02/2018 09:57

SAme, Stripy! I was focused on the cakes myself & wondering who she was meeting.,

CaptainHammer · 04/02/2018 10:27

I thought the same frith Grin

QueenofmyPrinces · 04/02/2018 10:29

Does anyone else feel like since Alicia has been promoted to Registrar they’ve completely changed her character?

Purplemond · 04/02/2018 10:30

nice to see Gwen in something, when she came out with i wont lie to you, if truth be told ,i thought she was back in Barry

Purplemond · 04/02/2018 10:51

i know Sam is a paramedic now and not a doctor but she seemed to disappear as soon as the ambulance arrived, youd think she would be helping Ian out more

Auldspinster · 04/02/2018 11:05

Casualty was political when it started, so it's going back to its roots.

ineedamoreadultieradult · 04/02/2018 11:09

Why do F1's in casualty fall into only two groups? They either lack confidence, are squeamish and think about giving up or they are over confident, keen to get stuck in on the gory stuff but have zero empathy for patients and family.

Youcanstayundermyumbrella · 05/02/2018 12:58

Yes, Auldspinster, my memories of Casualty from the very start was that it was really political, with Ewart the consultant fighting closure all the way through the first series. I think it's good that it reflects something of the reality of the NHS now rather than its usual nonsense of staff members just wandering off mid-shift/sitting around chatting etc.

Hhakuna · 05/02/2018 17:30

i didnt warm to the new F1 but i suppose it will take time, especially if they treat her like Rash and forget about her for a few months. Hopefully it doesnt have a break due to the winter olympics

mirage937 · 05/02/2018 21:12

I wonder if this F1 will be bullied by her mentor or end up as clinical lead in a few weeks
I didn't realise they filmed so far in advance, I read earlier the new F1 started filming in October so I wonder if Dylan's beard look at the NTAs was for his part in casualty or something else ?
