A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

I haven’t watched this weekends so steadfastly refusing to read all the recent posts but so so happy about Zoe!

I'm glad Connie and Ethan have made up. I liked this episode because Elle and Jacob weren't in it.

Did have a bit more 'pace' to it - and even Connie seemed to manage a slice of humble pie for a change....

Really hope Dylan gets back on the straight and narrow and soon.

The “Ethan Hardy - Lead Consultant” sign on the office door when it was his first day as a consultant though

I really hope they play out Ethan’s role well. I know he comes across as a bit ditzy at times but I hope they portray him as a good Consultant and a good Clinical Lead.

Last night the episode showed people not really respecting him in his new role and I didn’t like it. Ethan’s a nice guy and a good character and I would hate it if the script makers made him the programmes ‘clown’ and showed him failing in his new role whilst people treated him poorly. I would find that hard to watch.

Did anyone else find it off that after all the drama of last weeks show in terms of Elle’s son and him being arrested and him calling out for his mom as the police dragged him off, it’s a bit strange there wasn’t any follow up or mention of it in last nights show? In fact, the brief appearance that Elle made in the episode last night showed her smiley and happy.

Not sure if Ive missed something, is there a reason why Elle is isn't in the running for clinical lead? She's more experienced than Ethan, isn't she?

Connie told Ethan that he wasn’t the Board’s first choice for Clinical Lead but that it wasn’t as though they had many other options (or words to that effect).

.....but I have a soft spot for Ethan & like that he is very 'do everything by the book'

That’s what I always thought of him too so I was VERY surprised when he gave Dr Keough his blood sample back and chose to turn a blind eye to it.

Maybe he’s got a different approach to the rules since he left his brothers murderer to die

Ethan's not quite so 'by the book' any more though is he? He let his brother's murderer die and then helped Connie cover up her illness. He's a bit of a renegade now

Don’t forget the affair with his brother’s girlfriend countrybump. It’s that what started his downward spiral into dodgy behaviour innit.
