Love This Is England and Lol! Yes, she's always Lol to me too.

Re cold turkey......I will just rewatch it all.

buggerthebotox · 28/04/2017 16:47

I've already rewatched This is England. Blush.

My Bank Holiday Monday will comprise watching LOD S4 again from scratch. Who needs a life anyway?

CopperRose · 28/04/2017 16:58

Lol for me too Smile
I love This Is England.

Especially loved the last one set in 1990, as that was the beginning of my era - I turned 15 in '90 (and still live in the 90s now...Blush)

buggerthebotox · 28/04/2017 17:03

I still live in the 90s too. (I was already 30 in 1990)Blush.

CopperRose · 28/04/2017 17:19

The 90s is ace Grin

In one of the episodes Michael Farmer appears for an interview with injuries. I think he says in explanation that he had "one of me falls". At the time I thought that he'd been pushed around by other prisoners, but I wonder if perhaps he could have epilepsy. If that was the case and he had minor seizures then it could be difficult for him to account for what he was doing sometimes because he wouldn't be able to remember, which would make him vulnerable to someone looking for a victim to frame.

FeralBeryl · 28/04/2017 18:48

Series 2 of the 'forensic rewatch' Grin
God I'd forgotten how horrific it was when they flushed Denton's head in the toilet with the CS watching ! Very hard to watch - has reignited my girl crush on Keeley Hawes watching her act.

Great article about Jodie on Digital Spy .

buggerthebotox · 28/04/2017 19:01

That Denton scene was ace! I was a LOD virgin watching that! It was sooo unexpected, and really set the tone for the programme.

You couldn't help but feel for her-great character, great acting from KH.

FeralBeryl · 28/04/2017 19:03

She's just twatted the noisy neighbour's head off the floor now Bugger Grin

MarilynWhirlwindRocks · 28/04/2017 20:24

Feral,

Not sure if this is the right Digital Spy/ Jodie feature that Ken mentioned?

But the link's here.

ktel1 · 28/04/2017 20:46

I see that article mentions that Roz had a 10 year career break.

There has been a lot of discussion about this on various forums as to how long it was.

Some people were under the impression it was 5 years but I hadn't seen it confirmed anywhere until now.

We don't know how long she has been back at work do we, was it fairly recently?

Her kids are around 13 years old by the looks of it.

That's a long break. Based on the character we see now it hard to imagine her taking that amount of time away from work.

Either the time away was for another reason or else something happened to her during that time to change her character.

ktel1 · 28/04/2017 21:12

"Steve and Dot" dancing northern soul

NoWordForFluffy · 28/04/2017 21:19

20 years in (but 10 years' out)? Sounds a bit weird!

ktel1 · 28/04/2017 21:39

NoWordForFluffy- It doesn't make sense to me. I wonder it the information in that article is wrong.

In the series it was said that she's been in the force for 20 years and entered as a graduate.

This would make here between 41-44yrs?

Her kids are around 13

This would mean that she had her kids when she was between 28-31

She became a DI at 29 years of age. Was still working as a DI until at least 31 years of age.

ktel1 · 28/04/2017 21:40

Five years out would make more sense .

'Digital Spy staff scored an average of 6.5' - I got 10.

Reckon Mumsnetters get an average of 10!

Handbaghag · 28/04/2017 21:46

Place marking 😀

ktel1 · 28/04/2017 21:51

Yeah this quiz is way too easy for us . I'd be surprised if anyone doesn't get 100%

On a side note I'm currently rewatching The Thick Of It- it's an episode with Paul Higgins as Jamie, funny seeing him in such a different role.

ILikeBeansWithKetchup · 28/04/2017 22:06

I just got full marks.

Shock not!
