Ha! Yes engaged and after the same job as the lesbian couple moved away for a fresh start.

Mishti was very authoritative at the crash scene - I agree either ex police or ex emergency services. Neighbours could use a new job role - she could be an paramedic or maybe fire women.

The brother of the new family is conveniently at boarding school, he will be peddled out at some point.

I think Amy took the statue after overhearing that Ganesh "removes obstacles & helps solve problems" or whatever it was & hoped it would sort things out with Leo. She's going to confess to Jack that the crash at the backpackers was her fault, not because she was behind the wheel but because she made God angry by praying to an idol. She probably thinks that the reason she argued with Leo is because she tried to use another god to sort out the problem but it just made everything worse. She'll tell Jack all this & meanwhile, at the hospital, the topic of David's blood group will come up & they'll realise that Paul can't possibly be their dad. Amy will freak out when she thinks that praying to another god has indeed removed the obstacle & will probably reject Leo because she sees him as ill-gotten gains.

Good call on the Mishti police idea. I foresee weeks of her butting into Mark's police business before turning up as the new recruit. They'll bicker about everything for a while before their tension turns sexual. That made me shudder just typing it. Mark's just too wet.

I liked Sonya playing drunk while pretending not to be today.

Glad the Xanthe mystery has been solved & it's not that she's done anything to herself - she's far too young for that malarkey!

Tbh if I met right that it was Sonya (can't recall what happened clearly, came in last night/morning bit, cut in chin etc) I am annoyed that they are layering it on her even more. I can only hope that the extra despair results in Toadie coming to her rescue and then getting back together. I'm not a Sonya fan but it's heaviness upon heaviness. And despite how annoying she is I do like them as a couple.

No idea why she did it unless, she saw ute and wanted to drive it home cos did not want to walk, and Amy had left it is reverse gear or the gears are different and Sonya got confused as drunk

Would also mean she was done for drink driving so loses mayor to Tim Collins and Nelly to Toady

Love the Sonya driving the ute theory, hadn't even thought of that... and of course David and his blood group not matching Paul's, perfect! At this point I think it'll come out that David and Leo aren't related either!! They look nothing alike and are polar opposites, I think a swapped at birth story could work here! Leo will still be related to Paul though, so we'll have to listen to Amy whinge for a bit longer URGH!

I hated Toadie taking Nell like that. It was cruel & petty & left Sonya completely powerless. I just kept thinking that it was a move an abuser would use - march in, pick her up & march out again. What was Sonya supposed to do to keep her daughter with her - grab her back & risk hurting her? Follow Toadie into the street screaming & upset/scare Nell while making herself look unhinged? It was such a horrible, un-Toadie-like thing to do.

I think Steph comes in in the morning or something. She doesn't know Nell isn't there either. It's either Sonya did it or will be accused of doing it and possibly think she did it until the person comes forward. I hope it doesn't harp on for ages as a whodunnit like the bloody boiler.

They've been trying to turn Toady into something he isn't for quite a while now. Ever since the Dee one nighter he's been all about him.

I hadn't thought about Sonya being the ute driver. Interesting possibility. I do so want it to have been the obnoxious T Bone though.

Unless the actress who plays Sonya is leaving I don't think it's her. She's have to be looking at a custodial sentence for drink driving and leaving the scene. Even Toadie wonder solicitor would struggle to get her off.

What is the deal with Finn and Xanthe? I don't understand his end goal in having her as a "friend"?

Gosh, how interesting, the first thing that occurred to me when I saw the cut under Sonya's chin was that she must have been the one driving the Ute - strange how we all read things differently watching the same programme! I thought Amy had pinched the statue, too, but hadn't developed her thought processes beyond that! Can't stand Finn or Ellie, always ff when either of them is on, so boring!

What is it with Elly, she doesn't miss an opportunity of sniping at/about Amy, for no reason I can see unless she secretly fancies Leo. She must be gutted that Amy was cleared of the accident/

Wasn't it her who made the bet with Leo about kissing Amy then had to make sure Amy found out about it?
