Does the man never talk to a woman without falling in love?

Still holding out hope for RealDee, but hopes fading fast...

This is a much more realistically written grooming storyline than the one currently in Corrie, even if it isn't sexually motivated.

Susan will triumph in the end, though, she has been through worse before.

Xanthe!!!!!!
"Oh Pipes, what's it like to bbewuth an older man??"
I want to shake her and lock her in a safe cupboard. She's so easily played and agree with he'd not have a relationship with him but the adoring teen thing is creepy as duck.

Clawdy · 28/04/2017 23:15

It's unbelievable that Xanthe would have been allowed to be anywhere near patients' files.

MiddleClassProblem · 28/04/2017 23:17

I think xanthe has/had a similar infatuation with Elly. She's very "I wanna be a grown up", since day 1 really. I don't think they'd take it the romantic route for either party with Angus being so recent.

I hate what they are doing to Typer since the new year. Piper in particular. They built her from brat to great character and now are chipping away at it with 1 dimensional lines. Such a cop out.

Feels like they've been doing it loads over the years. When mark and Paige got back together they both went full on twat. Terese and Paul just don't seem to get it right (although hopefully now he has and ally in Brooke to deladybird her).

Knowing Susan knows about the ladybird probably means she and Karl are at it too.

ComedyofTerrors · 29/04/2017 00:50

Do you think they might be short of good looking male actors? I find the idea of either Gary or Finn as sex gods totally unbelievable. Brad was stretching the imagination but more personality wise.

Holy boak!

TheWashingFairyatemyhamster · 29/04/2017 16:57

I think that they struggle with the usual TV problem of matching much older blokes with young women and it is a bit bleurgh. The actor who plays Mark is much closer in age to the actress that plays Therese than he is to the one who plays Paige but they wouldn't even make them friends, let alone lovers. However it is fine for her to date Paul who's waaaay older.

They do seem to do something to age the women in it too. Apparently Fifi Box is only 40, but they dress her much older and make her date Paul who is old enough to be her father (and let's face it on present form may actually be her father). Same with Therese. They seem to get Therese, Brooke and Sheila's clothes all from the same place.

My theory falls down with Finn and Elly who are roughly the same age, but hopefully his head will explode soon and I will return to being right. Wink

MommaGee · 29/04/2017 17:21

24
36
43

Not that much in either way. In real life a 36 yo man is more likrely to be with someone in their 20's than 40's

MommaGee · 29/04/2017 17:27

I only looked cost I though Mark is my age and no way is Therese

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/04/2017 19:03

Paul is a sex God, so everyone fancies him.

Has anyone else noticed anything different about Xanthe's face over the last week or so? I can't quite put my finger on it. I'm really hoping she's not had Botox, but every time she's on screen I can't get over how something's changed...

AGnu · 30/04/2017 20:27

Yes, I thought the other day she looked different. I suddenly wondered how old the actress really was. She doesn't seem to be quite as baby-faced as when she first turned up.

Fl0ellafunbags · 30/04/2017 21:42

I hope not she's a teenager.

Smidge001 · 30/04/2017 21:43

Why are Brad and Lauren still in the credits? Please don't let this mean they are coming back Shock

MommaGee · 30/04/2017 22:01

she's 17 coming 18 in real life, unlike Piper who is 21

TheSecretMrsFairbrother · 30/04/2017 22:01

I thought that Xanthe sounded a bit bunged up on Friday, possibly allergies as they could also make her look slightly puffy.

MiddleClassProblem · 01/05/2017 00:10

Yeah, I thought her voice sounded funny when she was talking to Finn. Less pitchy so maybe allergies or a cold. Thet could have piled on more make up to cover it too which can change a face a bit.

MiddleClassProblem · 01/05/2017 23:45

Who do we think drove into the backpackers? Yashvi, Amy or the least likely person to be named T-Bone? Probably Jimmy...

AGnu · 02/05/2017 01:24

I assumed Amy. Leo said back it up & unload & she went to do just that. Not sure where she would've gone in that time to give Yashvi a chance to get in the truck! Did seem a little weird that she'd reverse so quickly though!

MommaGee · 02/05/2017 12:40

They laid it out for t-bone with his "you'll be sorry" to Typer

GreenSpaghetti · 02/05/2017 14:16

Shock horror, a second hospital bed/room in today's episode

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 02/05/2017 16:30

I think that Amy is going to confess to Jack that it was her that nicked the statuette of Ganesh from Harold's. She gave it an awfully funny look when Dipi put it out - i got the feeling that she objected to it on religious grounds.

I could be reading way too much into one look though.

ColdAsIceCubes · 02/05/2017 16:43

The actress that plays Xanthe has been poorly, I think with glandular fever. I follow Sheila (Colette) on Instagram and she posted what a trooper Lily had been in the episodes we see for the next few weeks.

MiddleClassProblem · 02/05/2017 19:23

Oh Sonya is prime suspect number one. Guessing Mishti (is that her name) is some kind of cop. She and Mark will prob be vying for a detective position by the summer.

The glandular fever thing makes sense.

Good call in the statue thieving confession too.
