geordie david makes 'fashionable' food doesn't he (local, seasonal and all that guff ), which gets Gregg's approval especially. Ben's a bit more fancy schmancy.

May I say what excellent taste you have in TV programmes foxy?

foxinsocks · 07/03/2007 23:21

lol, I was just thinking that same about yours

binker · 08/03/2007 09:03

mmm, there's nobody in the final four who I really like (unlike last year's fabulous Digger Dean !) - agree with you about David - probably does have a bit of a chip and is a bit arrogant - but could well win. Poor Hannah - that whole fancy meal looked pretty gross really.

I think Steven copied what he did in the restaurant didn't he?

I like Hannah best

HullaBalloo · 08/03/2007 19:27

Does anyone else think they're a bit misogynistic in their judging and will always favour the male contestants if possible ?

Molesworth · 08/03/2007 21:24

It was great to see Hannah regain her confidence tonight - I so hope she wins!

Steven's growing on me too

deaconblue · 09/03/2007 09:41

I loved Digger Dean (quite fancied him too ) and really wanted him to win last year. Was good to see he's making a massive success of his posh dinner party business though.

foxinsocks · 09/03/2007 09:58

hullaballo, I don't think they are like that - in fact, early on in the series, it very much appeared as though they had an eye for the ladies . I think, up until yesterday, Hannah just hadn't cut the mustard and even the pro chefs in the kitchens appeared to agree with that.

I'm glad Hannah and Steven did well yesterday - they appeared loads ahead of Ben and David. I wonder who'll go today!

Molesworth · 09/03/2007 10:01

Yes, Hannah's and Steven's good performance yesterday has left the field wide open. I think Gregg/John really like Hannah, although her nerves are a problem. I think Ben might go because of his lack of understanding about flavourings. Hannah's palate is much better!

foxinsocks · 09/03/2007 10:14

yeah, I don't think they like Ben as much as the others. I think David did himself no favours yesterday and if Steven and Hannah have good days today, I reckon it'll be between David and Ben. If Hannah screws up today, I think she'll be in trouble.

foxinsocks · 09/03/2007 10:15

I have to record it tonight (and Raven too!, for the kids of course ) because I'm out with the kids aaaaaaaarghhhhhhh. Must remember to schedule social life around what's on TV .

binker · 09/03/2007 10:49

hope we get back from swimming in time. Dh refuses to watch it any more as he doesn't like any of the finalists - I think Hannah reminds him of a girl at university !
I'm so glad she did well yesterday - I'd like her to win now.

Yeay for David, only cos he's from the North East like me

love Hannah, can't you just see her in a huge kitchen with half a dozen little ones biting her ankles.

Not keen on the other two especially the posh one, I mean who wears a scarf round their neck while they're cooking

Molesworth · 09/03/2007 11:05

Agree that Hannah needs another good day or she'll be in trouble. My money's on Ben going out tonight though.

I totally organise my life around certain tv programmes

NEW SERIES OF THE APPRENTICE COMING SOON!!!

binker · 09/03/2007 11:23

We love The Apprentice !! And there's celebrity Masterchef coming too - hooray !
Steven's cravat was ridiculous by the way

OP posts:
Molesworth · 09/03/2007 11:25

I can hardly contain my excitement at thought of forthcoming apprentice AND celeb masterchef

binker · 09/03/2007 16:18

Molesworth · 09/03/2007 19:01

Gordon Bennett!!!

I really didn't think David would go out

zippitippitoes · 09/03/2007 19:08

oh dear david i think the short man didn't know what to do when you howled

Molesworth · 09/03/2007 19:10

hoot!

foxinsocks · 09/03/2007 20:18

ha! thought it would be David - my kids were morbidly fascinated when he started crying - think John and Gregg felt v sorry for him tbh!

He just went to pieces didn't he (in the cooking I mean). It was clear how passionate he was though.

In fact, apart from Ben, everyone did pretty badly today.

binker · 09/03/2007 20:43

I am not fan of that Kate Spicer - a bit of a sour faced one.
I think it was the right decision to lose David - they're all pretty emotional this lot, aren't they ?

OP posts:
Daisypops · 09/03/2007 21:51

PMSL at salmon monstosity and 'clacking' teeth on a fork!

Emotional chap will win I reckon. Geordie Dave too cocky
