MrsBadger · 15/03/2007 20:59

Hannah'll be fine - she'll get a job as a pastry chef with one of the Michelin chaps they cooked for at the Savoy.

BellaBear · 15/03/2007 21:00

it was the turnips that did it. poo.

TwoIfBySea · 15/03/2007 21:01

Yey, I always thought Stephen was a more worthy winner.

Ben can now go have the nervous breakdown he is obviously tettering toward.

Hannah can go open her restaurant with her mum as she has learned far more than she thought and would suit settling down in her own kitchen.

About time they had someone who won who wanted to win because they loved food not because they wanted to go into the media side of it.

TwoIfBySea · 15/03/2007 21:04

RTKM my 5 year old dts2 loves cookery programmes too. I encourage it so one day he can cook for me and I get nice dinners!

WestCountryLass · 15/03/2007 21:06

I am glad Stephen won, he seemed to make the most progress and 'get it'

fishie · 15/03/2007 21:08

[sobbing slightly] dp forgot to record it. is there a repeat?

RTKangaMummy · 15/03/2007 21:09

When Kangaboy had his girlfriend here a few weeks ago the 2 of them cooked a chicken and bacon meal with veg for all of us

They are 11 years old

It was deffo brill

CantSlimWontSlim · 15/03/2007 21:14

Yay, yay, yay. The right person won . Result.

TwoIfBySea · 15/03/2007 21:17

Crikey RTKM will definitely encourage it then! I was thinking more along the lines of when it came time to leave home he would be able to cook!

3babesfull · 15/03/2007 21:17

Slug, my 4 and 6 year olds wanted to stay up to watch final but I have videoed it for them. What scheduler ran the show for x weeks at 6.30pm and then moved the last week to 8.30 - spoilt our teatime treat! The kids loved it, but they also love fame academy, perhaps they are just telly addicts!

pointydog · 15/03/2007 22:03

steven has a hard job ahead of him, keeping himself kitted out in hugely oversized shirts. ONly the fame and cash of masterchef will allow him to continue to buy collars and cuffs of that stature.

pointydog · 15/03/2007 22:04

astute dd2 (who loves masterchef) said 'the winner gets a job at the end of it but they have to get very upset first.'

foxinsocks · 15/03/2007 22:17

isn't the prize not that brilliant (not 100% what it is actually)?

I think it's more the fame (daaaahling) of winning.

see, I tipped Steven from the start

LOVED that Hannah was so gracious in winning (whole way through in fact) whereas Ben carried on regardless - and WHY play Brown eye girl for Hannah when she has blue eyes, ey ey ey???

can't wait for the kids to see this tomorrow - mucho sobbing - they will laaaaaaarve it.

Flower3554 · 15/03/2007 22:22

Hannah was so gracious and lovely. I'd be proud to call her my daughter.

Steven was a worthy winner tonight but I wish it had been based on a points per heat system cos he's mucked up loads of times while Hannah has been more consistant.

Ben.................................Wuss

pointydog · 15/03/2007 22:27

brown (polo) neck girl

foxinsocks · 15/03/2007 22:27

and those Gregg fans - did you notice his titter before he tried that chocolate sauce?!

just got this off the Masterchef site - Steven's interview after winning....

'The MasterChef prize is a placement in a top restaurant, though I don?t know where it is yet. On top of that, Pierre Gagnaire has already agreed for me to have three days working in Paris - even if it was just three hours I would get on the next Eurostar! I?ll also be working with Michel Roux at the Gavroche and at the Taste of London event in June.'

RTKangaMummy · 15/03/2007 22:28

TIBS

I thought they should have reffered to the stuff that had happened during last week

But they didn't

pointydog · 15/03/2007 22:29

those Gregg fans?

That'll be me then

foxinsocks · 15/03/2007 22:32

I went off him a bit after I became fixated on the lumps on his head - was starting to develop an unhealthy John thang so I'm glad it's all over really

Molesworth · 15/03/2007 23:09

Yes I noticed Gregg's ejaculation before the chocolate sauce

Steven was a worthy winner. I didn't think he would get into the final, never mind win it. He has improved so quickly and, well, he's just a big cute bouncy ball.

Hannah will do just fine I'm sure.

Ben can go and boil his own head the great big arrogant twunt.

Molesworth · 15/03/2007 23:10

I've been peering at Gregg's head lumps too fox!

TwoIfBySea · 15/03/2007 23:32

That Ben owns a cheese shop. Haha. Here is the big cheese hisself

And lovely Hannah Banana

True winner Stephen

And the one I wished had been in the final 3 instead of plonker boy David

Please note, I am not a particularly sad google-stalker but I do read the food threads on the Beeb!

Molesworth · 15/03/2007 23:38

ooh thanks for those links twoif!

TwoIfBySea · 16/03/2007 00:10

The cakes Hannah bakes are elaborate to say the least, wonder what ol' slaver chops Gregg would make of it.

Molesworth · 16/03/2007 00:24

I just read through Ben's "Masterchef Diaries" - my opinion of him hasn't improved

Love David's and Hannah's recipes
